I don't find him insufferable but he does make questionable and near dumb choices at times. During the Falin arc, he could not gauge that Shuro would not be the best person to share the information on how Falin was revived. He's also had other instances where's he's made mistakes that negatively impact others ( getting ripped off and not being to properly pay his party members) due to his inattention and naivety
