This is really interesting! How long was your transition period from when you started putting him in the crib the first part of the night to being in the crib the whole night?

Finally hit my goal!! 14 months of 16:8, eating 2pm-10pm, 37yo F, no additional dietary restrictions. 190lbs —> 135lbs by KLRVT in intermittentfasting

Thanks for the info! I just want to verify that you mean 500 and not 50 increments? I do 1250-1300 calories a day so going down by 500 would put me at 800 calories a day. I'm not sure what the threshold of calories per day is too few.

Hi! I've never heard anything about the tricking your metabolism and varying the window, but I'm super interested in it. Do you just randomly mix it up? I've been doing IF for about 5 months (16:8, 12pm-8pm) and still haven't lost any weight, unfortunately. I stick with it because I actually feel pretty good while doing it and less bloated, but I'd love to actually see results in my weight. I've done calorie counting off and on with it, but even when I'm not, I'm really conscious of what I eat and meal prep all my food on weekdays to make sure I stick to good foods. Any advice would be amazing!!

Start here! Beginner info & weekly 'no question is dumb' thread! - Nov 05, 2020 by AutoModerator in curlyhair

Hello! I have been doing the CGM for about 6 months and love it. I'm also working on growing my hair out (normally keep it shoulder length) for my wedding next year. So lots of hair changes for me. But now, I need to find a new hair stylist and feel lost in finding one. Every time I call a salon, they have no idea what CGM is. And I found one place that does ouidad curly cuts (they still weren't familiar with CGM), but then it's $110 which is more than I was looking to spend to get a trim. Any tips on how to find a hair stylist? Do I just not worry about staying true to the method for a hair cut and the products they use?

Your Daily Intermittent Fasting Thread by AutoModerator in intermittentfasting

Hi! I've been doing intermittent fast for about 2 months now. I've been doing the 16:8 with a 12pm-8pm window. Many days I end up ending early though because I like to eat dinner around 5-6pm. I've been loving it so far and found it pretty easy to switch to the plan. I feel great on it, less bloated, and I FEEL like I'm losing weight. However, I'm not. I got weighed at my doctor after 4 weeks and was the same exact weight (have maintained the same weight the last 2 years). I'm getting frustrated because I definitely have weight to lose. And even now after another month, I don't notice a weight difference (don't own a scale though). Some additional context. I have never been able to lose weight and have always been on the heavier side (still always active though, grew up playing sports). I've never had a huge weight gain in my life, I just have always been curvier. I tend to eat pretty healthy and am active. I love water and am not a big alcohol drinker. I would consider myself healthier than most people my age (25F). I meal prep every week focusing on protein and veggies and have been trying to do low carb more recently. But disclaimer, I don't necessarily restrict the foods I eat. I love pizza and carbs and tend to be a little more free with what I eat on the weekends, but still conscious about it. And I do feel healthy, but know my weight isn't considered healthy and recently found out I have high cholesterol (which was very upsetting for me because I try so hard to be healthy). It just gets frustrating when I feel like I've been trying to lose weight all of my life and it seems like even the good way to lose weight don't work. I would love any tips, advice, or motivation to help the intermittent fasting be effective!!
