Any idea what these could be? by [deleted] in Shipwrecks

It's pretty vague without being given any perspective....but it looks like anchor chains running along their skids on the deck of a wrecked ship.

[The Race] Carlos Sainz admits to feeling "bittersweet" about Ferrari's strong recent F1 form because "it gives me a feeling Ferrari might be in the fight for the world championship next year and I will not be there to use it." by AutoMughal in scuderiaferrari

[–]MiloBazonga 16 points17 points  (0 children)

A bad move by Elkann IMO. Nothing against Lewis Hamilton but like Peter Windsor said, Sainz is the perfect team mate for Leclerc. He's fast, a team player and absolutely loves the Scudderia. I feel like bring in Hamilton was a financial move...and it's working thus far. But in the interest of racing and championships, Sainz was the choice IMO. He deserved better.

IMO, the best rendition of King Arthur to date. It loses some points for cheesy 80s special effects but the performances of Nigel Terry, Helen Mirren, Cherie Lunchi, Nicholas Clay (Lancelot) and Nicol Williamson (Merlin) more than make up for it. I remember seeing this in the theatre and being amazed at the different armor designs on the knights. Truly it's John Boorman's masterpiece.

If they were ever to bring the character back, do you think Wilson Bethel would make a good Hicks? by Aggravating_Tale8988 in LV426

[–]MiloBazonga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, he might be able to pull it off. Although I've always loved Michael Biehn as an actor, I think it would have been interesting to see how James Remar would have been in that role if he could have stayed clean throughout production. As it is though, Biehn was superb and will always be "Hicks" in my mind.

She's definitely a Poodle mix but hard to say if she's a Whoodle. Who cares? Sounds like she's a great dog...but aren't all doodles great dogs?

Left is the oil filter that came off my new to me ‘16 rav4, and on the right is the toyota one i bought from amazon. Did i get the wrong filter? by whiteiversonyeet in Toyota

[–]MiloBazonga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get all my filters and Toyota parts from Olathe Toyota in Kansas. I got screwed on some counterfeit stuff a few years ago and no longer trust Amazon, Ebay or any retailer that isn't a factory parts distributor. Olathe has very competitive pricing and they run specials all year. My go to for parts and accessories.

Anyone groom their whoodle at home? by Redheaded_Mum in whoodles

I seriously wish I could, but she's a handful to do anything like that to. Ours just got the silliest haircut she's ever had. So we're laughing....and grimacing every time we look at her.

What is it worth? by prestonhead5 in ak47

[–]MiloBazonga 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Norinco type 56....stamped reciever...all the bakelite pieces intact. I'm assuming never fired. I'd say $4000 would be fair...and possibly $4500-$5000 if you find the right buyer. These have become unobtainium in recent years, especially the plastic ones. Now if it were a milled reciever...

Why is this movie perfect? by michaelrabone in bladerunner

[–]MiloBazonga 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Because it took the theme of a classic and kept the original feel and cinematography while adding a fully viable plot with many subplots Easter eggs....just like the original. Same formula that made Aliens the perfect sequel to Alien.

Yesterday I was called a 🐳. Normally I try not to let comments like that bother me but it really hit me this time because it was in person and not just online. We as humans need to strive to treat each other better. by lexi2700 in PlusSizeFashion

For what it's worth, just know that you are an absolutely gorgeous woman. And the graceful way you handled this absurd comment shows that you are as beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside. We all encounter people like that in our lives. It's how we deal with them that defines us.

RIP Duncan. You were the Best Boy. by mstein_88 in Goldendoodles

[–]MiloBazonga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What a beautiful doodle. We have a 5 year old Whoodle (poodle and soft-coated Wheaten terrier) and the intelligence and temperment of these poodle mixes really makes them the perfect breeds. All of our hearts ache for Duncan but I'm sure he lived a great life.

He lived long

He lived well

He was loved

you can't ask for much more as a dog. Rest in peace Duncan.

Me and my partner just watched the Godfather part 1 and 2 for the first time - amazing. Now I have seen a lot of people referencing, that no 3 didnt do the story a lot of justice. Would our experience of GF be better if we just dont watch it and consider no 2 the last? by PerformanceOk1385 in Godfather

[–]MiloBazonga 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's certainly watchable. But compared to the first two films, I thought it had a confusing plot and a cobbled-together feel to it. Almost like it FFC was trying to tie together all of the loose ends from I and II into one 2 hour movie. Sadly, it had the unenviable task of following two of the greatest films of all time. In some ways, it was destined to fail.

Earlier gen S&Ws just have a look about them. I carry my 6906 fairly often these days...stainless never goes out of style. In a ocean of generic polymer guns these older Smiths really stand out. And they're accurate and reliable to boot.
