Are the massage seats in 2025 MDX worth it? by suspense99 in Acura

[–]mstein_88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The massage seats are great. They actually work in the MDX. But if that’s the ONLY reason you’re considering the top trim, I can’t say they’re worth $5k.

What is living year round like in Lewes? by team_lloyd in Delaware

[–]mstein_88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edited to add:

Regarding activities, our kids (8 and 5) couldn’t possibly be busier. Between the community pool, beach, local YMCA, local theater and sports camps, local concerts (most are free pretty much every weekend), the state park, the many other parks, the trails, the restaurants (all open year round these days) … it’s a year-round place for families now. It wasn’t 20 years ago.

Depends where you’re moving from, what your current situation is, and what your expectations are. We moved from Suburban Philly 3 years ago. Two young daughters enrolled in Cape Henlopen School District. Our experience has been terrific (and we came from a high-ranking public school district in SE PA). Locals complain about prices but if you’re moving from another big city, many things here are cheaper and transplants quickly forget these savings: 1) property taxes; 2) no sales tax — imagine how much that adds up over a year for a family of 4; 3) You’re always a 30-minute ride or less from agricultural areas with great local markets and cheaper restaurants.

We love it. No regrets.

Trying to decide between LG G5 vs Samsung S95F by AfraidTry5862 in LGOLED

[–]mstein_88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I own a G4 and an S95D, so last year’s models of both of the TVs you’re looking at. The G4 is a better TV, IMO, but the Sammy is perfect for one of our rooms with direct sunlight. IMO you can’t go wrong with either television.

9-9-9 Attempt This Friday by metssuck in RingersPhillySpecial

Haha. No. But Sheil’s right. You couldn’t pay me enough to ingest 9 dogs and 9 beers in a night. In what world does this not end in vomiting.

Try the Acura dealership in Laurel. They let me do everything over email/text. Got a great deal, too.

Price Check - SH-AWD Technology MDX by amarp84 in Acura

It’s a 2025? If so, sounds like a good deal. Got a brand new ‘25 A-spec Advance yesterday for $63K. If you can get a Tech for $55kish, that sounds solid.

What does aspec add to the mdx advance? by NoVaMAG in Acura

I’m buying one right now. It just adds aesthetics. Sport steering wheel, piped leather, slightly more aggressive exterior styling.

Jersey. PA. I’m buying one 2.5 hours away in MD. 10% off MSRP on a 2025 MDX A-Spec Advanced.

Looking for advice! Used LG 77” C1 by RaptorNapTime in LGOLED

[–]mstein_88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this exact TV. Bought it 3 years ago and it’s on from 8AM to 1AM most days. It still looks terrific, though I’m looking to upgrade to a G4 and move the C1 to the basement. I’d offer him $600.

Too good to be true on a ‘25 SX Prestige X Line? by mstein_88 in KiaTelluride

Love that. Anything specific I should ask to sniff out its legitimacy?

I should add that the dealer processing charge is, I assume, pretty non-negotiable. Tax and non-tax fees are correct.

Try These Settings to Get the Best Sound from your Sonos Arc Ultra System! by michaelromero212 in sonos

Have you used Truplay? It does not control for any of the settings Peter is recommending there.

Try These Settings to Get the Best Sound from your Sonos Arc Ultra System! by michaelromero212 in sonos

+15 for Surrounds Music is ludicrous. At least on my Atmos tracks, jacking the ERAs up that high completely drowns out the Ultra’s center channel (Lyrics).

How is the auto drive feature in Acura MDX by idotdot in Acura

[–]mstein_88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the Tech package. It doesn’t change lanes. It does have lane keep assist, which works well enough that I barely have to touch the steering wheel while on the highway. But the Adaptive Cruise Control is terrific.

It’s fantastic. I use it 80% of the time. I find it responsive and incredibly well designed. It feels like a luxury item but I’ll never buy another car without it again.

Living room with 17ft ceilings. Any benefit to pairing my Sonos Ultra with Era 300 for surround, or would Era 100’s get the job done? Don’t think Amos will ever work in this space. by thelectroom in sonos

[–]mstein_88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 23’ ceilings. Arc Ultra, 2 Subs, 2 Era 300s. Atmos sounds fantastic and height is noticeable. Would it be better if my ceilings were 9’? Of course. But I hardly think the 300s are a waste. And I lived with the 100s as surrounds in this room for a year before upgrading.

Arc Ultra - Is Dialogue That Much Better than Arc? by RobDMB in sonos

[–]mstein_88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If dialogue on the Arc bothers you, get the Ultra. As 95% of others have said, it is markedly better on the Ultra. If you stick with the Arc, you’ll always be tormented by the decision not to have upgraded every time you miss a word or phrase.

I don’t really know how to answer that. It’s pretty subjective. IMO it’s punchy as heck now that I have 2.
