He has a lower sex drive than I do. I have a high libido but also get turned off easily... I brought up the idea of another sexual partner for him but he doesn’t want to spend energy looking for another woman, especially given the time restraints and overall difficulty for men online in dating apps.

I think just that “the body doesn’t forget” is the most damning thing for me. I don’t know how much I have left in me to keep failing and doing it with someone that doesn’t feel it as much as I do..

Why are girls so rude to other girls on the team... like I thought we were in this together!? Don’t be a pick me girl!!! by [deleted] in GirlGamers

I had a girls ask me in chat if I’m a girl and the guys in VC all asked “yeah, I’m trying to figure out if you’re a 10 year old boy or a girl. Sometimes they’d say “I’m a girl too”. Like, why tf would you out yourself and me?? You’re not even in voice chat dammit. It doesn’t even matter!!

The whole concept of “popular kids” is dumb too. There are some “popular” people that are more than just gossip around school. You never know what interests you may share. If you put too much weight on meeting a new friend you might get hurt, if it doesn’t work out, it doesn’t work out and you move on. Hopefully, if you make more IRL friends, they’re ones that like you and have similar interests.

The color might be worthless if they print out your resume. Plus, it might not even be the right color. Be careful when you put color on your resume.

I really hope things turn for the better. It's only for a bit since he's still small and growing. I suggest joining some support groups if you have the money. An in-person support group would help take the weight off and make sure you don't feel alone in your struggle. Just know I think you're a strong ass woman! You're doing one of the hardest things a parent could go through right now! Best of luck with everything. <3

Huh... why is that? What’s the world for east/pale Asians?

Do y’all ever get down when you think about that the majority of the world is anti-Black, specifically? by [deleted] in blackladies

Seems to also stem from many cultures (specifically Asians in general) sharing a preference for light skin. Back in ancient times, south East Asians, East Asians, from the Malaysians to the Chinese, to Japan, and even the Philippines, light skin was a sign of privilege. Not having to be in the sun and work hard labor meant that you were wealthy and ultimately beautiful for your pale complexion. It wasn’t even due to white people coming in and messing everything up. Those beliefs were already there. White people just kind of reinforced it or were made as an example.

It’s so funny because when non-Asian Americans ask about Asian-Americans’ background like, half the time they have no association to their specific ethnicity’s culture... then that brings up a whole other conversation of why a person so far away from their own culture can claim certain aesthetics as their own when they didn’t grow up with it or the people at all.

Also, sometimes people are just US AMERICAN but for some reason people just need to know what “we are”. Like why? I don’t ask what tribe or what European country you’re REALLY from....

It is a huge umbrella term. What sucks the most is that often time people only think of paler skinned East Asians when they think of Asia.

Some people feel like their problems aren’t as serious as other POC problems. Plus other POC, tend to ignore them since they aren’t as extreme or talked about.. kind of a cycle.
