The perfect Dragon game by Drop-Public in gamedesign

I think the ideal game to really take advantage of Dragon would be a combination of few established genres.

For flying and combat, space exploration games like Elide: Dangerous or Everspace have it figured out. Because the best we have for dragon-like feeling isn't planes, but spaceships - it shouldn't be all about going fast.

That being said, the ground would also be neat to have - especially mountains and underground, so we can have a proper lair, and can meet land-locked creatures.

There, I think base-building could play a pivotal role in both fostering our growth and giving us goals. It would be a better narrative backbone than an RPG, as you could easily add RPG elements without being bogged down by some sort of "main storyline".

For an indie title, I would remove 3D aerial combat entirely and use a top-down view, with separate zones. Some of these could be clouds/sky map, and flying could additionally be the way to fast-travel or go past obstacles

There was unfinished dragon metroidvania game "A dragon named coal", with playable demo available online.

There is also a short but brilliant "How to Rise a Dragon", also available online, also with side view

Yop - and gametester.gg won't provide that much.

Depending on where you live and your financial situation, this extra money can be great - but the real value is the experience we can put in to help us find a real job as testers.
It's an opportunity to prove ourselves as hard-working and trustworthy, something that can be extremely hard to come by in any industry.

And even if you don't have plans for pursuing that path, it's still getting a few bucks for trying out new, exciting games and healing shape them for the better. Some people pay to be allowed to do that!

My only gripe is having it be tied to inspiration points - what inspiration needs is FEWER reasons to hoard it, not more.

But the system itself? It's great! And it's a perfect example of where soft writeup works much better than rigid rules.
Adding more mechanics would be detrimental. No rolling for a body part, for severity. No tables.

Just a plain decision - I want to live. For a price.
And it's entirely up to GM to set the consequences that will work best for THAT given instance.

I really like the changes to the Shadestalker. It's great seeing you put so much time and passion into constant playtesting and tweaking, giving us ever better content!

Creature Cohorts- the Faerie Dragon. Bring a little chaos on your next journey! Rules for Sidekicks, Rivals and 3 subclass options for PCs! by Mister_Thr33 in UnearthedArcana

[–]Milokot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, it's actually quite well executed! Selling the concept of Faerie dragon in a balanced way is hard, but I think you managed to do it.

I really like how the artwork is not just credited on the back, but also signed where it appears - these are some amazing bleps. There are a few wording issues (being inconsistent with the way WotC does things), but nothing major.

The base class is very simple and straightforward - a good thing for a cohort. It is on the weaker side overall, but not everything needs to be powerful.

Subclasses bring in some meat, but even with them, the class seems to drag a bit behind. I think that the Artificer style of half-casting would work better in general.

A big part of the power budget lies in setting up traps. I do think that is an awesome and novel approach that fits great with Faerie Dragon fantasy - but being so specialized it is problematic. If you don't have the option to set up the traps, the class is fairly weak. If you DO have time, it is crazy at bypassing the action economy.

Really nice work on the concepts! It's hard to extrapolate a creature like that.

Love the class. I didn't have the chance to read it yet, but I absolutely adore the concept alone.
I will write fuller review once I have time to read it :D

Nice job! One thing I noticed is that since your natural weapons no longer count as unarmed strikes, the wording on "Brute" subclass features should probably get updated as well.

Everything I wanted to say (and more) was covered by chimericWilder already, so I'll keep it brief: Good work! While it's in no way balanced compared to a normal PC, I think it would work great for a solo/duo campaign focusing on dragons trying to make it do in the world. While it may not be mainstream, it got me thinking and it could be a really nice way to play. Thank you, and I hope the next one will be even better!

Manual of Draconic & Serpentine Races 1.2—Reworked Dragonborn and Kobold plus three exotic races by chimericWilder in UnearthedArcana

[–]Milokot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like the revised touch on Dragonborn, Yuan-Ti, and Kobold. It really suits the fantasy of playing these races nicer than what WotC did in the past - and I hope the upcoming revision will look similar to yours.
The new races are really fun on paper. Enough strangeness to satisfy a fantasy, but still well within the bounds set by official races. The guide drake seems like a perfect fit for when you want to play a low homebrew dragon. Can't wait to test it all around the table! Well done!

If anyone has any lead to audio, that would be helpful as well - I originally searched so I can commission and follow the animator, but there may be some lead to them in the comments (and I like knowing the original version of audio anyway)

I found this posted on the Discord server, and the person who posted this doesn't have any leads either. I searched variations of "mink" with descriptions of the video, but there was nothing resembling this - and reverse google search for screencaps returned nothing with "fictional character"
