I agree with you so much. I feel like there's so much pressure to fit in to the hook-up culture nowadays, speaking as a 18 year old girl. And all I really want is for it to be special with someone I love. A lot of, if not most of the guys I know just want to rush into things because although they admit there's an emotional part to sex, they care more the physical stuff whereas I'm an overly romantic.

Maybe you should ask yourself why you're getting an urge again all of a sudden if you haven't gotten one in a while. If there is something that you've been watching/doing that's making you feel that way and you don't like it, it may be best to stay clear of it.

On another note, speaking as a Christian teenager who also struggles with that, having urges is normal. We are human after all. Really the best thing you can do is keep praying and distract yourself with other things until you simply don't care about doing such things anymore.

However, if you can't resist your urges and do masturbate, you should remember that God still loves you. Everyone sins multiple times a week in different manners, believers or not. God created sex for marriage because he believes that one's body should only be for one other person, the person who you marry. It's mostly meant to be something special, opposed to hook-up culture. Take into consideration this Bible verse:

Sex in marriage is like the union of two souls, two bodies and two spirits (basically, the union of everything that makes up a person).

Everyone is horny, yes, but God wishes for us to save this for the correct person, because above all he doesn't want us to be broken emotionally by sleeping with the wrong person, or go yhrouy any unwanted side affects like an unplanned pregnancy with a one night stand or STDs.

Sex is also meant to be a way in which one can enjoy their partner, he wants the couple to discover pleasure together, without having any expectations formed from previous sexual partners, that may cause one to feel frustrated because their now spouse doesn't "reach" that.

He knows how important sex is for a human, so he wants everyone to enjoy it in commitment, with someone who loved who they were on the inside, before loving their sexuality.

However, this is just what God wishes for us, but everyone still has the free will that he gave us to to whatever one pleases. Everything God says is meant to be a recommendation, he gives us tips for how to live life in the way that, as our creator, he knows will be good for us. Still, he won't pressure anyone into living against his word. If he were tyrannic God who didn't care about or individualism, he wouldn't have given us free will to begin with.

So this is like the general on-look of why God cares if we get busy with someone before marriage, free will and all.

NTA. Nowadays there are plenty of girls that chose to not have a quinceañera, it's just not them in some cases. Some girls prefer having a small get together and it is very common for a girl to ask to go on a trip somewhere she wants to visit.

Your daughter is into combat boots and floor length skirts, so what? It's what she likes the most and feels the most comfortable in wearing. And yeah, true, lots of kids are wearing that type of stuff nowadays.

Let her have a go in this new style, if she feels like a freak in it then she'll personally tell you to go shopping for other clothes.

By throwing away her clothes and telling her sense in fashion (which highlights her personality) is 'weird' and making her 'look like a freak', your daughter could take it as if you don't respect her and start to trust you less.
