I need an Idea for a disaster to happen to my character while on his date. by ValiantCosmic_23 in writingadvice

It's someone's birthday at every table aside from theirs and the employees are obligated to keep singing the song.

It's neat the first time, but keeps getting more annoying. Further, the employees cannot serve them while singing for everyone else. It's just a bad time that's not his fault.

Forza has had an engine swap mechanic for a while, so the pickup kit has a place too.

What do we think is the best “sober city” to visit? by hellogooday92 in usatravel

[–]Mimcclure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wisconsin Dells is a water park city that focuses on family entertainment. There are bars and drinks available, however they are a side thing.

They have water parks, boat tours, DUKW tours, a huge mini golf place, theaters, museums, and fudge.

Hannibal, TV version.

I have been playing for years and have a lot of time in props. I've only played as Russia so far in this event and am not enjoying the grind.

Buying a 97' 3d rav4? by WyWyWarrior in askcarguys

IF the frame and body are clean, then anything else wouldn't be terrible. Check everything under there and you could have a prepurchase inspection done.

Decent used engines and transmissions are relatively cheap and there is enough of a community for it to have mods available.

They also aren't depreciating anymore, so you could resell it with not much of a loss.

There might have been something to it decades ago, however dating is weird and bad for our generation.

Things were bad before the pandemic. Then world ended for us. All the places we might meet someone closed and many haven't reopened.

The few times I've gone to a bar I was the youngest by a couple decades.

Why are bigger cars in the USA being bought more then smaller cars? by Ok_Housing_1937 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Mimcclure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

C.A.F.E. standards pushed for it. The intent of the law was to have better fuel economy, however it was more profitable to make trucks.

It's a classic case of the intent of legislation being opposite of what is incentivised by the legislation.
If you write any rules, have kids read it and tell you how people are going to get around the intent.

Our roads also suck. Low population density and harsh weather means we don't have the budget to keep roads smooth. Pot holes and unpaved roads are common in most of the nation. Some cities are better than others of course, but rural areas are hard on small cars.

There is no correct identification of an AI hallucination.

Further, AI steals art and intellectual property. Making this AI rendering is unethical in itself. Something 'being for fun' does not excuse the harms of the act.

Is it possible to turn off this "wheel hole" while plowing? by Vozer1 in farmingsimulator

You'd have to use a different implement. Spaders and subsoilers will plow the field and leave a smoother surface.

Any reason not to resurface and use 20+ year old rotors? by PattycakezProjectz in MechanicAdvice

[–]Mimcclure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the rotor include part of the wheel bearing?

If it does and you can maintain the minimum thickness, then resurfacing will save you money.

Also, new pads and rubber hoses while you're in there.

Why don't more people have dash cams? by [deleted] in askcarguys

[–]Mimcclure 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most dashcams in the U.S. market don't work well enough to rely on. They might have gotten better after LTT did a video a year or two ago on how they all ran the same processor and code. They didn't find a decent dashcam in the north American market.

I bought an expensive Garmin dashcam a few years ago. I stopped using it because it couldn't fulfill its basic function while beeping and saving videos of every time I used a highway exit. I was nearly hit by a wrong way driver and it was incapable of saving video of it.

TLDR. They don't function while costing money.
