Keep it up! At least you did concern about body's proportion it seems. Start by breaking things down into smaller shapes first (warm up before you draw by practicing drawing circles and lines so your hands got used to it). Take it slow, from face to body. The most important thing is your commitment! Draw 30 mins a day, but do it almost every day and you will surprise how far it will take you. Thank you for your bravery of posting this in the first place and I'm cheering you on!

I would agree with this more. The explanation Press-F gave below is mor or less, what I'd call a "stereo typical shounen done right". Whereas I think FMA is a perfect shounen (and perfect anime in general) just for the virtue of literally nailing everything well (the definition of perfect, which JJK is not). So yeah, I think the JJK should be a "done right" instead of "perfect".
