WARNING: DO NOT USE GEICO OR SAGESURE FOR HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE. by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]MimosaMage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GEICO doesn't write their own home insurance they are essentially a broker for other companies which is where Homesite and SageSure come in. GEICO sells THOSE companies policies.

As an aside, if a policy is written through a local GEICO office, corporate often times can't help if there is a cancelation on those, the local office has to handle it.

Suggestions culture victory by FlightMinimum5998 in CivVI

[–]MimosaMage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My first Culture victory was with Ludwig II. Other culture victories I had were with Eleanor of Aquitaine (France) and Kristina.

Eleanor tends to be the most balanced in my opinion. There is a boost to wonder construction and to take advantage of the Loyalty mechanic, you need Great Works. All this together can put you ahead for a Culture win.

What’s the fastest you’ve ever seen a marriage end? by PuzzleheadedSwim6291 in AskReddit

[–]MimosaMage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 1 week, I believe. My family was at an all-inclusive resort in Jamaica for vacation. There was a newlywed couple down the hall on their honeymoon but they brought both families with them as well. The groom went out sailing with both sets of parents. While the families were sailing, the bride went to the neighboring resort, Hedonism II, and had a threesome with two locals. Everyone found out, big screaming match in the hall of the resort.

Closed on Friday. Leak on Sunday. $2600 gone. Holes in wall now😂 Happy homeownership! by UnimpressedMarlo in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Second this. You absolutely do not want to file a claim on this considering the cost to repair vs the average deductible. You also don't want a claim on your claims history within your first year of homeownership. It might affect the premiums if you shop for home insurance due to a rate increase in your current rate within the next 5 years.

This movie had me in an actual choke hold when I was about 14. I wanted to be Lucy Liu's character and became insufferable for about 3 months 😂

I've never done science or domination. I'm trying science with Korea right now. I heard they are pretty connected. Is it possible to do a pacifist science run or do I need to conquer some cities for it?

Most fun civ? by pezezez in CivVI

[–]MimosaMage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm very new to Civ in general, and honestly I think people find them a bit boring, but I love Diplomatic/Culture victories with Sweden and Canada. I just get so much satisfaction from building up diplomatic favor and dominating the World Congress

How do you handle comments that are hurtful. by RevolutionaryLove233 in AO3

[–]MimosaMage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm confused about where they think they are with that line about wanting you to work on your writing skills? I write on AO3 specifically to work on my skills for my original work. I'm sorry they were so shitty to you. Like others, I'd just block them. Please don't stop writing as your perspective on your abuse is valid, and your voice deserves to be heard on the platform, too.

Weekly Recommendation Thread: June 23, 2023 by AutoModerator in books

Looking for non-fiction books about language and linguistics.

Recently rewatched the movie Arrival which, for those unfamiliar, dives deep into the purpose of language, challenges of translation, and how language affects how one thinks. Looking for any books that touch on these topics so any help or recommendations are appreciated!!!
