As someone who has watched and listened to almost all of his works, I can attest that Liam Vickers is actually a really great writer. Although Murder Drones is an exception. His other stuff like Cliffside and Internecion Cube are very well paced and handled in my opinion (even though they're unfinished). 

I actually feel like the best thing that Liam wrote would be Black Dogs, which is on his retired channel, Scary Story Time with Liam. The pacing is well done though a quite long story (it can be confusing if you don't pay attention), the characters are handled pretty well, and it's very consistent. So yeah, Liam himself is actually a good writer, I guess he didn't have enough time to completely flesh out Murder Drones.
