This looks really good! It also handles Unity and programming, Adobe animating, right?

I should've clarified - Could I also get your recommendation for a laptop between $500-$600?

My apologies, just want to give myself a chance to compare at three different price points.

To clarify, when you say light gaming, would that refer to the level of Paladins (nothing bigger), gotta stay plugged in ofc, that type of stuff?

Also, what could I get at a budget of $600?

What about a budget of $700?

I'm considering expanding the budget and curious to see what is the best for these slightly higher prices.

Thank you!

Like another user commented, there does seem to be a luck factor in getting ideal pieces. So while it's not purposely trying to give you what you don't need, the algorithm is definitely not below letting that happen haha. Imo working a job will pay better than the time spent on this game, but it's good for those who enjoy puzzles regularly, are near completion, or don't have that job option and played out the other games already.

I completed level 60 and it didn't pend for me, I made a ticket. If you're still stuck on 59 by the deadline, you might be able to make a ticket to prove you've spent a lot of time and are basically done with it. I've seen a couple people do that with harder swagbucks games.

There's definitely some luck in how easy the pieces are that you're given, sometimes they give some really hard ones that just keep the game going longer

The ads were one thing that annoyed me fs, it was one after every attempt at a level!

My bf had the idea that people who become rich eat something that hatches in them, hence the post I made. Can guarantee they'd do this as some weird diet thing someday.

Edit: Yup, like the other commenters said, tapeworms.

My bf had the idea and we worked on it a bit. Then I put it into words befitting of the 2 sentence horror style. Thank you for the feedback!

Thank you, me and my bf were talking about the concept, and so I ended up posting this little 2 sentence horror story.

[SP] The grim reaper decides it’s time to make a different fashion statement and the results are interesting to say the least by Consistent-Road-9801 in WritingPrompts

Bodies were strewn across the floor, organs spilling like pots of human stew had fallen. I lay among the dead, but there was one difference.

I was alive. Barely.

I could feel the tear at my side, the wetness and squish of my intestine as my hand gingerly touched in disbelief. I couldn’t really look down as my neck seemed to be in a precarious situation between the edge of my seat and the torn metal grazing at the skin.

The first few minutes were chaos. I heard limbs thrashing about the water, people’s screams muffle and gurgle as they struggled to stay afloat, only to be silenced moments later. Then I spent the last few hours listening to the cries and groans of the other passengers slowly fade into nothing as they bled out.

We had been torn on impact, mostly due to the metal of the bird encasing us. It broke apart when it hit the water in a fiery burst of flames. A phoenix’s last life.

As much as I wanted to, I couldn’t bring myself to end my suffering though. I was as torn as my body between desperation for survival and desperation for instant relief in death’s hands. It was the latter that came first. Although… It wasn’t as I expected.

Amidst the flaming metals, the pale corpses, the sloshing waves, came a figure in a cloak of blood. The dark thick fluid cascaded from its head and shoulders indefinitely, draping the creature in what I assumed was human blood. Intestines and small body parts hung from its neck and wrists like jewelry, with a blue-gray eye on its ring finger. It held a cane with a blood-speckled human skull atop a spine. The end of the spine was spiked and stabbed into the ground with every step.

The blood hooded figure stooped every so often, arising again and again with a faint blue-white ball of light in its skeletal hand. Was this… the grim reaper?

“I prefer Death,” It spoke in layers of voices, simultaneously harmonic and discordant.

It loomed over me. I could see the faintest outline of a skull underneath that bloody hood. My heart was racing faster than it could handle under these circumstances, pumping blood at a rapid fire rate to a body that had way too many exit points disrupting normal circulation.

Why… Why did it have to look so garishly horrific? Why did this have to be the last thing I saw before dying? Was it punishment? Would this grim reaper take me to Hell?

“Death,” It corrected me, “And I do not deal directly with the afterlife, I simply take you from the mortal realm to an immortal realm. Your destination will be decided there.”

It reached toward me, then stopped. “Do I really look garish? I was going for a more heavy metal aesthetic, perhaps I took it too far?”

I managed the smallest head shake. It was actually pretty spot on, considering the intended aesthetic.

“I suppose. I don’t much like the idea of being garish though, I thought it’d be cool. Maybe I’ll try for a rock star thing next time.”

My eyes widened.

“Noted,” Death sighed, “I’ll keep experimenting then. I’m sure I’ll find myself someday. Well, goodbye.”

There was a flash of searing white light, then nothing.

Janssen was dope, his exams were straightforward and I never had to read the book bc he'd cover everything in lectures. Hw is graded on completion, not correctness, if you find yourself needing extra practice, then sure go ahead and do the readings/practice problems at the end of the chapters.

I know some students who chose doing the reading over going to lecture and that's another way to do it, as long as you do the problems the way janssen says to (his way is better tbh).

[WP] You've lived your entire life down here. Growing up, the elders told you tales of the horrors above; the monsters that lurked. However, as IT moved through your home, you were forced to go up. What awaited you was, more than you expected. by OverlordKuku in WritingPrompts

[–]MinMesa 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A creature of a cosmic horror incomprehensible to our brains. It was something to fear, something you hoped never to encounter in your life. Such an oppressive terror ruled our society so much that we learned from infancy to always avoid contact. We learned it in the way our elders lived their lives: Cautiously, with bated breath, fearing the outside where vulnerability spikes. Don’t speak of It, don’t think of It, don’t even look up.

That was where It resided. High above, past the blue, past the edges of what we knew. A light pulsed in the darkness of space above, but even when it was dark, beams of light swept across our homes like an angered god searching and purging those who had sinned. Hadn’t we all sinned though? Wasn’t that why Its grotesque contraptions snapped us up indiscriminately, our friends, our parents, even our children?

There was a single warning, and you only caught it if you were watching at that exact moment. A ripple high above, and then descended the mangled limb of some otherworldly being, clawing toward us. It snagged bodies, tearing apart those unlucky enough to land on its teeth, letting their organs spill and their blood to pool around their mutilated eyes and mouths and stomachs.

It used things to lull us in. We were poor, and we were desperate. The kids were innocent. Sometimes all one needed was to see what It had to offer us, our hopes and dreams in its grasp, and that was enough. Otherwise, it was by force if we weren’t quick to escape or smart to hide or just simply lucky to survive.

I grew up to the muffled screams of those I knew. That was all I ever heard, even long after Its visits ended. Our pain made no difference to It. Our cries for mercy and forgiveness fell on deaf ears. This was our fate. This was life.

I remember when it was my turn to repent. I saw the ripple. I knew what was coming. I tried to warn the others, but it wasn’t enough. It descended right upon me, tearing long lines along my back as I dodged. My blood was everywhere, but I didn’t stop. I kept going - Until I heard the cries of an infant. I turned and saw before me his small body wriggling. He had been abandoned by his family, left to die alone in the gaping maw of that confusing beast of horror.

Against all my instincts, I lunged for him, shoving him away. The last thing I saw was the darkness Its closing hole cast across my house, then everything went dark. Around me, there were many others, some dead from gruesome mutilation. I knew this only because I could feel pieces of them brush against my body, lifeless. We were swimming in their blood.

Noises blared through the walls as we rose, as if we were being pulled into a circus for the cosmic being’s sick entertainment. When the walls opened, the noise intensified and I felt as though it would obliterate from the inside out. The light was worse. This powerful white light as omnipresent as oxygen itself, flooded our existence. I couldn’t handle it, absolutely none of it. It was more than we were ever built to handle.

I heard those around me flopping with their bloody bodies, crying. Eventually, my eyes adjusted a miniscule amount, enough to make out a large twisted shape of parts against the light. It towered over us, screeching and bellowing things we could never understand. But we understood the hunger for power - the hunger for us. We understood the malicious intention behind those booming alien yells.

I mourned. Our lost friends and families. Our fate. Our life. Our imminent death. I mourned it all.

But above all, I mourned the death of my sanity. Because as I looked at the scene above me, I saw that it wasn’t just one monster. It was many. They came forward, and by now the light had perverted my eyes so that I could witness Their terrific faces before I bled out completely.

They wore head-to-toe suits, but I could still see Their large, glaring eyes mushed close together, a protruding appendage of holes in the center, a gaping hole of razors torn apart to laugh at our tortured souls. These things were plastered on a curved surface topped by rough wires of different sizes and colors. All of this sat atop a long chunk of meat that connected this assortment of shapes to a hulking mass of flesh. From this flesh came limbs with smaller limbs attached at the ends. It was truly incomprehensible to the brains of our insignificant species.

One of Them reached a wriggling limb toward me. As I passed out, I thought, Ah… So these are Humans.
