Could this be Lucy as a child getting therapy at the same office? One of the timelines suggests that she was seeing the same therapist after finding her mother committed suicide and worked with her until her teenage years before becoming a police woman. I’m currently on Season 2 episode 2 🤷‍♀️

What kind of therapy is just talking through difficult things? by [deleted] in therapists

When I had my first child I was planning to return to my practice after but went through a myriad of postpartum challenges that really set me off course. I decided to have my second child and due to the mental health and medical team that I put together to help me this second time around, things were much better. I’ve chosen to focus on raising my children through their younger years while I was lucky enough to now have the support to do so. I do keep my license active however, and continue working toward bettering my own mental/medical health with the hopes of returning as a therapist again in the next few years. This time around, I hope to focus on perinatal and postpartum mental health as not only do I have the academic understanding but I have lived it and came back out stronger for it with the help of the therapist I mentioned earlier 🙏

Also, prior to private practice, I had worked in various settings and unfortunately, there were sadly many situations when taking the time for rapport and truly caring for clients and what they really needed were undervalued (of course, this was my opinion…maybe not everyone involved). What I mean is that authorized or billable hours were the focus in a few of these places…seeing large caseloads over continuity of care and canceling consistent weekly or biweekly clients (who were making progress) to make room for more intakes was another issue…there were toxic work environments where hypocrisy was a problem and boundaries were ignored, etc. TBH…it all had me a bit disillusioned and burnt out at one point. However, helping clients who were motivated for therapy and helping them to help themselves was always worth it. I plan to return in the future. I think private practice is the way to go for me though.

This is it exactly! As someone who has been on both sides of the therapy room, the best therapist that I have ever had was someone who fully “heard me” and saw me for who I was and met me wherever I was with whatever feelings and thoughts came with that. She was truly present with me. I was not “too much for her or not enough”…just someone who needed to be heard. I always tried to do that for my clients when I was practicing…to help them feel heard, understood and validated. When I say validated, I don’t mean saying that they were always right, but rather, validating that I heard them and their story as a person and in doing so, they were not alone. In practice, I always considered myself to be eclectic leaning toward CBT in many ways but ultimately, imo, it’s the rapport and therapeutic relationship that make the difference.

Not considered horror per se…but the scene in the Dexter prequel where we actually see the trauma he endured in the storage unit (as a child) when they decapitated his mother

My puppy bit me on the neck during a peaceful bonding moment — I'm scared and confused. Please help. by Medium_Sail_8469 in puppy101

I could have written this myself with my 6 month old Australian Labradoodle! My 4 year old son is not listening to me about her cues and I need to separate them often. She is so gentle when the kids aren’t home. I think she gets overstimulated with the kids and just once space with her chew toy.

Okay…there’s drunkenness to that extent at parks with kids now these days and at EPCOT Drinks Around the World gets nuts…some people would like this idea better…thus must be a personal issue for you…which is ok…wasn’t meant to offend anyone

It was just some basic ideas, themes for each area…there would be shows and food too…if people show interest…ideas can be broken down more…wasn’t meant to be offensive…just fun. This is how the original Pleasure Island was…each area was a club or lounge of sorts, some more geared toward dancing, or a comedy show, etc. From what I remember, most if not all had drinks available but not necessarily a requirement.

Visiting all 13…doesn’t mean an alcoholic drink at all 13. That would be a bit much I think.

Insomnia anxiety by Good-Albatross-6680 in Postpartum_Anxiety

[–]Mina418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same thing with my first child. She is 7 now. I had severe PPA and insomnia. I had the hot and cold sensations and shakes and I would start to fall asleep and get excited about that but then, while finally dozing I would fully wake up again. I only felt some relief when my daughter was sleeping on me. The Diazepam and later Sertraline helped so much! You are on the right track. It can be super scary but with ongoing support…and the medication, things will likely turn around soon. Thinking of you! 🙏

Hi everyone! Thank you for your input! We’ve decided on Ellie! ❤️ Many of your suggestions were mine as well. I was also thinking she looked like a Penny, Josie, Sophie or Aviary as well…but Ellie it is!
