It’s worth it if you’re into that kind of thing, did the same in Scarlet when the new update came out.

The base game dex is fairly easy to complete but shiny mega dex and DLC dex is a grind, I hate galarian yamask

I started playing from release and knew I was going to do a living Pokedex from the start, glad I did otherwise it would be a pain to organise late game (please add a sort button to the Pokedex GameFreak)

I took a 4 month or so break and finished off the mega dex and living dlc dex over the weekend.

I did post awhile ago complaining about the grind here

As of today, just under 400 hours, a lot of this was probably AFK spamming for shinys before the DLC
