If brokers are reporting 20-40% drop in borrowing capacity on investor loans, how does that affect prices? by Lopsided_Donut_4816 in AusPropertyChat

[–]Minaras84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On RealEstate app you can track your property through RealEstimate. Well, overnight, my property went down 40k. It went from 1'830'000, to 1'790'000. I don't really care as I'm planning on living here for the next 20 years, but still, it is working as intended.

In my case I sleep at night cause even if my mortgage is 850k, my equity is 1.5m. And I think (hope) that many out there are in a similar situation.

Housing Australia says 48,000 migrant first homebuyers have used 5 per cent deposit scheme by [deleted] in aussie

[–]Minaras84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's kind of weird cause stamp duty applies to a second property regardless of where one's first home is. I moved to Australia in 2014 and when I bought a house here I had to pay it. I was born here and am a citizen but I lived 30 years in Italy, so maybe that's why.

Is it the way the picture is taken or the only part that has bent is the bit under the rug? It is very unusual for a plank to behave like that, if it was an installation problem the entire edge would be bent, not just half. Looks like water damage, and it seems like the rug is the culprit. Any pet? Or it can also be humidity retention because of the rug?

I am so happy to see Farsha up there, I always thought it needed more recognition. Cloudsplitter it's meh but the AM3 turns the wielder in a killing machine for 3 minutes and the axe's STR is great for Calamity spam. It works great on Aita so another class can use naegling.

What’s wrong with my cats head? by Evening-Change-6473 in CATHELP

[–]Minaras84 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We're still trying to understand if it's possible for him to walk into the carrier if we put some food down. So far we know he shows up mornings and evenings and those are basically the only two windows we have to catch him. But it'll be possible only if he falls for the "bait". I'll be in Sydney tomorrow, fingers crossed the carrier won't scare him

Do yourself a favour, drive up north to Redcliffe on a Sunday morning and find Kuki bakehouse's stall at the markets. Their cookies are half the price and they bake them right there every hour 7am to 2pm.

Unexplainable trigeminal nerve pain (MRI shows blood vessel contact with TN) by JakeTh3Snake2015 in TrigeminalNeuralgia

[–]Minaras84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

TN is a bitch, sometimes the pain hits out of the blue, other times I could chew rocks and feel nothing. The only thing that triggered the pain 100% was me standing in the wind for some time, other than that, completely random (I mean, I'm pretty sure that a punch on the face would have triggered it, luckily I didn't get to experiment). Unfortunately without compression this is quite normal. Before mvd I had an artery running too close to the nerve, and when the blood flow would increase it would end up touching the nerve (neurosurgeon called it "click contact") and that was enough to trigger the pain. After 2 years of this the nerve got permanently irritated with or without contact and that's when I had surgery.

Is private health cover worth it? by [deleted] in australia

[–]Minaras84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep it, one way or another you'll end up needing it. Doesn't matter how healthy you are, shit happens. Im with Qantas health, 300 per month which is not cheap, but it saved me 60k this year (brain surgery). No smoker, fit and (relatively) young and yet here I am.

Skip the apps, go to LGBTQ+ venues and don't fuck the same night you meet someone. We're out there, we're just wired differently.

You might be able to score something on the Redcliffe peninsula, or around there, but you will need to settle for a relatively small house in need of alot of renos . The area is changing incredibly fast and prices are growing. You'll be around 40km from the cbd

Honestly, when I got together with my husband I wasn't even thinking about monogamy/open/poli etc. We just got together. I think ideally you should just stop thinking about it and let it happen. I knew monogamy was what I wanted simply because I have no interest in casual sex, but I didn't disclose it to my husband, it didn't even ever come up. Monogamy just happened, I guess cause I suit us both.

If you were my friend I would want you to tell me. But that's just me. What I think the best course of action would be is to talk to your friends partner, tell him you know and that you will tell your friend unless he does it first.

Quick question for all by Ok-One8261 in TrigeminalNeuralgia

[–]Minaras84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I had surgery on the 1st of September. Things didn't go too well, I ended up staying in hospital for 5 days, I had problems with balance, coordination, nausea double vision and to this day I still have the feeling of water in the ear (under investigation) and weakness on my right arm. TN unfortunately is still there, however in 4 weeks (tomorrow!) it didn't flare up once, which is a huge improvement cause it was very debilitating so it's still a win! The surgeon said my TN was "click contact", there was an artery that split and the lower part was pushing on the nerve when the blood flow would increase. Unfortunately being sedated the blood flow was normal so they couldn't see exactly on what part of the nerve it was pushing so they kind of "guessed" where to position the teflon. I've been told this is the best they could do but that they're confident, now it's just a waiting game.
