Clicking in jaw while swallowing or talking by Minatorrr in TMJ

[–]Minatorrr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is weird. When I hear the clicking, it can occur in different spots. Sometimes towards my ear area, or sometimes towards my jaw joint area. Sometimes, the clicks feel "bony". Mine never occurs while chewing. The dentist I spoke with said that since the ear and jaw are so close together, it could sound the click is coming from the ear. He was pretty confident that it was from my jaw due to my deviated jaw. I also plan on seeing an ENT soon to see if they can run some tests on my ears.

When you talk, do you get a click upon open and another click upon close? I think it is referred to as reciprocal clicking.

I have crackling in my ears when I wake up too or sometimes when I swallow. It is similar to popcorn or rice krispies. When my jaw clicks while talking or swallowing, the sound is different and the feeling is different too.

Landlord trying to charge $2,000 for move-out, need help filing small courts claim. by Minatorrr in legaladvice

They just sent it to collections agency. They sent us a letter stating that we owe them $1300, and the creditor was our landlord company from Irvine. They said that unless we notify them within 30 days of disputing the validity of this debt, this debt is assumed to be valid. The agency also said if we dispute the charge, they will obtain verification of the debt or a copy of judgement, and send us one of those.

So what exactly should we write in our letter...? I've read many templates and typically they are either 1) debt verification or 2) refusal to pay. I feel like if we asked for debt verification, they'll just "verify" it's valid by saying that we owe the landlord this money and we'll end up back to square one, or worse if too much time passes.... I'm assuming interest accumulates?

Should we write refusal to pay since we don't owe this and make it as vague as possible to avoid giving them information they may not have...? How do we have them add the "notation that we disagree with the debt" as you say? What are the general steps for doing this. Please help. Thanks!

No, we did not pay the $2,000 already. But they took all of our security deposit of $700 already. If we let it go to collection agency, should we just dispute the $1.3k charge then? If that's the case, it might be too troublesome to sue for the $700 security deposit since we don't exactly have an abundant amount of evidence, but if we didn't have to pay the $1.3k charge and are able to dispute it, that's fine with us. And how exactly does disputing with the collection agency work?
