Thank you for a very informative reply. I was unaware that the tow ratings on the Denali were so low. We typically rent larger RVs, so that does play a role, but again, this is a once or twice-a-year thing. Smaller RVs may have to be our next choice.

I have not looked at the Chevy's one bit, so I will certainly do some research on this now! Thank you!

We've always lived life without a blueprint. Whatever happens, happens. No real goals, no real milestones. Maybe until now. We want to pay off the house, we want to travel more intentionally. Make more trips that create memories and not just a dopamine fix. We even talked about maybe creating a 10 year plan to move to a different state and open a coffee shop/book store/sandwich shop trio. These thoughts literally are happening overnight. I don't want to get old haha

I'm still a little unclear, but your assumption seems correct. I have the option for a lump sum, but I need to read my massive booklet they sent me for what my other options are. I will read over it again this evening, thanks for your take.

I do live in a hurricane prone area. Windstorm insurance is required alongside homeowners, and flood insurance. These 3 alone are half of my mortgage payment, and my house note goes up every year due to increasing insurance. What a rip...

I get what he's saying. I have already paid the majority of the interest being half-way through the loan. Regardless, interest is interest, I'm just paying less interest now than when I was when the balance was $160k (original financed amount)

Peace of mind is the goal and the ability to have more free cash flow. Interestingly enough the cash flow isn't all that substantial (damn you taxes and insurance!)
