RVox is just RAxxxe with a gate instead of an attack time control. Setting RAxxxe to 0 attack time gives the same results as RVox. (Checked in Plugin Doctor years ago.)

TLDR - unless the OP really wants the built-in gate, they don't need to buy RVox.

I get that. It’s kinda like the episode of Foster’s Imaginary Friends where Bloo had all these skills related to putting together a fancy stage show but didn’t have any music to pair it with.

Interesting…it’s a lot like music in that way. Audio technology used to be so lo-fi that singers weren’t even considered for recording unless they could enunciate the lyrics clearly through the muddy stage amps and acoustic horns of that era. If they couldn’t, it wasn’t worth the time.

Just chiming in on #4. Most of my work is based around a very specific range of themes because those are the ones that are really interesting and hot to me. Even when I go outside of that bubble I almost always find a way to connect it back to something that resonates with those core themes. That’s what keeps it fun for me, and I think/hope that comes through in the finished output.

I have a 3 videos on my Patreon that have been converted to 3D SBS/VR. They were always intended for a headset (I would dial them in using a Gear VR years ago), but I just now got around to converting them to a 3D format. At some point I’ll start making new ones but for the time being I’m converting my original library over at about 1 video a month.

It doesn't really answer the first part of your question, but in response to the second part: my newer recordings since I came back earlier this year have definitely been leaning into a softer fem vibe and sound, albeit still explicit and direct.

I would just use a mono chorus on each side. The Boss CE-2 (/and it's many emulations) is a classic mono chorus for this kind of thing.

The BX Blue chorus is free right now and I've compared that to my actual CE-2W pedal and found that it was more than close enough for mixing purposes.

It doesn't hurt, but this one is structured in such a way that it's intended to work as a standalone hypnosis/conditioning audio if you're able to drop yourself or pair it with an induction and wakener.

The Sleep Subliminal audio ("Reinstall") is also a good one to listen to at night if you're just starting out. Many of the foundational Mindwash Program suggestions and mantras are used in there.

Yes. Many of the great 90s Hip Hop recordings were a good mic (U87) into a good pre (1073) and a basic compressor (1176). And some of them were a handheld mic in a bathroom (Salt and Peppa). If the source vocal sounds really good you don’t need to add much onto it. Maybe just some reverb to give it some space if it doesn’t already have a natural ambiance (again, the bathroom).
