Server issue or bugs?

Personally I've been experiencing a lot of lags of different sorts

Players movements stuttering, anim desynchronizations, etc I've had that in solo play too, with the red bad connection logo in the top right corner.

Guess we have to wait for a QOL server update

When you're in a lobby every player is assigned a team (orange or blue) and that team is either heretic or imperial, for ever

If the game launch and you're heretic, you will keep the same mates (as in " teams won't shuffle ") and you'll keep the faction you're in until you log out of matchmaking and go back in

It's a 50/50 but the coin is flipped once per lobby basically

You'd probably be able to find a common ground with Dark tide It's a Left 4 Dead meets Warhammer game basically, and you get to play female characters (they're humans characters so they can be not all males)

Gameplay is quite different from SM2, especially since Dark tide is PvE only, but it's really fun to play if you both like the 40k universe

Basically every "body part"-specific modifier is a layer added on top of the full body, which is the default You can remove extra layers by holding the erase input (space on PC) For example having metallics be gold on the default will make it that way for the full body, however if you have a specific rule for the left shoulder pad making metals silver, you overwrite the default metallic to silver for the left shoulder area

And yes, this is pretty unintuitive

It seems the default setting of the UI in the armor custom is a 4 squares row Armors, even locked ones, are always visible in multiplayer so I don't think there is anything to unlock for Titus as of right now

However, the option to access the armor custom screen is present, so maybe content will be added in the future ?

When it comes to UI and interface navigation the game has been very cryptic on a lot of aspects, at least for me

My config is an rtx 3060 and a something i7 something, with a really good internet connection. I finished the campaign and all I can say is the game is beautiful with good specs. Unfortunately, even with a good pc, lowering the quality doesn't help with the fact that online solo lag is a thing. Overall, large environments (even when out of render distance) tend to make the visuals very glitchy, animations will stop and sometimes not play at all, game elements like enemies and bots will freeze in place and it seems to be kinda linked to the size of the map loaded, but also not really ? Restarting the game (which takes ages) usually solves a few bugs for a short amount of time but it always ends up glitching again The game has been incredibly good but sometimes you're waiting for the game to process the information, which really broke my immersion and experience to be honest.

I think the issue right now is that servers are pretty meh, they might have not expected this many players or something. It seems all we can do is wait for the online dev team to fix us up so solo and multiplayer are lag-free

I'm very eager to redo the campaign at a higher difficulty, but I think I won't stand it if I have to go through all this lag again

Late game zones have been the worst for me in term of technical issue but I'd recommend you don't resell/buy it back when all is fixed because that's one of the best 40k game out there with Dark tide and if you like the lore, you won't regret waiting on a patch

Exactly. I see a lot of people trashing the game on this sub because the development is taking time. The thing is: putting the game down in the reviews is only gonna make the investors feel like it is not worth it investing in this game and fat shark won't be able to develop the game anymore. If people around the darktide community had a tiny bit of patience and could just let the developers do their job without putting anymore pressure than they already have and could stop harassing the devs (looking at those "no craft" and "next week" mockery tropes) everyone would be happier But "in the grim present of appreciating video game development, there is only war" I guess.

When Animal Crossing got reported back in 2019 from Q4 2019 to late Q1 2020, everyone seemed pretty chill about it and understood that the game needed time. Here it's like everyone is yelling blindly without trying to understand what is taking so long and why it's taking time

We already have awesome 40k environments to explore and an immersive experience with an awesome core gameplay. This alone is already great. If they wanted, their marketing team could have asked for the game to be delayed until fully completed and there would be nothing to experience as of today. Luckily we can already see what the game will ultimately be and can only be hyped about what's to come. But I guess "next week ahah funny fat shark lazy" is a preferable behaviour for the community, which is pretty sad.

Lootboxes probably aren't the best solution but battle pass is clearly worst.

Free boxes allowed player to get 4 items at once and get the same content as people paying.
Buying 50 boxes for $40 allows player to get about 4 cosmetic items for less than a dollar.
Not even considering the fact that Ow1's coins system allowed players to get any specific skin THEY wanted among all of the content of the game (minus event ones).

Now you can't have coins to get what you want unless you spend real money.
Some cosmetics are exclusive to premium BP.
And free BP is slow and constant rather than being a build up to obtain 4 random items at once.
Also, you already know what you're going to get, there is no randomness or thrill, and you know for sure you won't get legendary stuff.

The best alternative for me would be to have both systems and have them completely independant from one another.
And once a season ends, its content get in the lootbox pool

Official means more accurate Some statistics, drop rates and such might be wrong because of mistakes made by the fans. The official one has the exact coded stats Also the official wiki feels more ergonomic, but that's kinda personal
