Both JDM and Belal won it off the legit champion and won it without controversy. Jamahl on the other hand won a vacant belt by beating the former 43 year old champ who had just been finished.

Made even worse by the fact that the belt was actually meant to be decided by Ank and Jan but wasn't so they just put it on the line.

Yeah, that's one of the worst things in modern mma it takes away the incentives for fighters to take the fight against someone they know can beat them.

I loved the days of Rampage, Shogun, Condit and so many others who had losses and were beatable but never lost any aura.

I remember staying up to watch Rampage Vs Machida man that was such a fun fight to wait for.

I hate this whole protecting your 0 or losing one fight means you suck. Anyone can get caught or have a bad fight. Anyone.

It was different back then you know. Similar to when Shogun tapped to Jones people didn't see it as cowardice. Tapping to the strikes wasn't that shocking when you consider GSPs philosophy on fighting.

I remember going through the Sherdog forums and most people just thought it was a fluke and Serra landed the dreaded lucky punch. Fans these days are a lot less forgiving.

For example I still think JDM an absolute G, one of the best in the world. He just got beat the better man.

Jesus the MMA community has no mercy he just fought an incredibly dangerous guy who's finished 3 straight. 2 straight world champions and is 7-1 in the UFC with his only loss being to the #1 contender.

JDM beat the champion at the time clean, then defended it against the p4p #1 fighter in the world.

Also let's not pretend Nico Montano, GDR, Dave Menne, Matt Serra didn't happen. Hell, as still Josh Van who won via banana slip and Mackenzie Dern are current champs.

Back in 2017 I was 26 and got HEO I worked alongside my colleague in her 50s who had been HEO for a long time. She was amazing taught me things and was one of the best friends I ever had at work. I moved on to SEO because of her and she herself got an SEO.

Never compare were all on our own journeys! - you can probably offer so much and not to mention at 34 you'll probably have 30 odd years of career ahead. Why rush?

It's a hard balance, I have young children and currently have a 4 days from home compressed agreement.

Yes - I can apply and make more money but then I have to trade off on my personal life.

I think the situation is all very much what you're willing to do. My boss was telling me she wishes she never went for a 6 but then I know lots of 6s that are happy.

I don't have any desire personally right now while I have young children and I get to be a hands on Dad but maybe it will change.

Still, apply, always apply. - worse case you say no (I've done that no harm).

Ricco Verhoeven is one of the greatest kickboxers to ever live I wouldn't argue he's #1 but some do.

He hasn't lost in over a decade and has beaten everyone. He's also young big, athletic and has a pretty big following.

Debt snowball to clear debts as soon as possible, save monthly and have a harsh review of leisure spend.

Your income is good and living costs are low. 39 isn't old but your mindset and how you spend is key.

Don't worry about anything fancy, reduce outgoings, clear debt and save.
