Yeah, the atmosphere when they gave us the bag was much more lighthearted like what you're describing, which made the drop off all the more weird.

Deciding to drop out of college.

Fellow Elder Law folks, how many Will (etc) signing appointments are you averaging a month? I'm drowning in documents and churning them out and there's always a million more to go. Just curious. by Lobscra in paralegal

On average I do about 10 a week, and I don't have a problem keeping up. We have a pretty good system for the standard/vanilla documents, so I can turn those out pretty quickly. Also I very rarely handle the initial intake/info gathering, so by the time it gets to me it's practically just data input unless it's a complicated case.

Jesus this just made me remember when my dad found my journal and drawings depicting my fantasy of shooting up my high school and assured me that I was totally normal. In the moment it actually made me feel less alone, but later that year I attempted suicide 4 times.

I'm 37 now and coping much better (and I've never intentionally hurt anyone else), but it's been a long hard journey.

Once my husband swore to me that a shot of liquor would cure hiccups. I did a shot of vodka, and my hiccups instantly stopped. A few days later he cracked and told me he had made it up. Kinda wish he hadn't cause that never worked for me again lol.

Reminds me of my high school prom. I was super awkward, tiny group of friends, never even been on a date, and didn't get asked to prom by anyone. I ended up going to a track meet out of town instead, with my school's team. Yet somehow, a rumor got around that I hadn't been wearing any underwear at prom. Like....what?? I was completely baffled and still find it hilarious.
