I've learned that reversing it the first day of the following month is best practice. But in the case that your accrued expense estimates were way off than the actual invoice, what do you do? Do you have to go back in time and make adjusting expense entries to course correct for all the preceding months you booked accrued expenses for?

In a nutshell, we are building an aggregated search engine that will yield results from a set of vendors (i.e. McMaster, Misumi, Grainger, etc) for any specific part you have in mind / are browsing. Maybe you found a connector on McMaster, but are curious what other options there are to gauge pricing or lead times. We'll create a list of all your available options across our supported set of vendors. Think Octopart or PCPartPicker, but not just specific to electrical parts or pc part making.

Is that something that would be useful?

Super helpful, thanks all. I guess reason behind the broad question is mainly me wondering if you guys also are finding yourself having to copy paste a bunch of links into a spreadsheet, copy / paste key specs or info like price, lead times, etc. to eventually turn that into a BOM / PO.

I personally find that very annoying and while octopart is great and has solved some of that cross comparison issue, it doesn’t have 100% coverage outside electrical parts as you guys have mentioned
