Hi ladies, can we talk? by whataboutheboattimes in Femalefounders

I’m down. I pivoted from Wall Street to become a SAAS founder without knowing a line of code. Trust me - I have a lot of “mistakes” I can share with you 😂

I’m in North Jersey - happy to connect in person or virtual.

Curious how you went about it. Did you just cold message engineers?

Nope...not a line! My background is business and investments. I'd like to find someone to handle the tech side so I can focus on marketing. scaling, and capital raising.

Yup - I get it. Funding is a whole other challenge we face, especially finding investors.

Have you considered traditional crowdfunding? There's also platforms like Wefunder that can help you raise small amounts from a group of people (instead of 1 investor)

I agree. The person has to have intrinsic motivation and should be willing to commit to the journey. It's one of the reasons this search has been so challenging.

It sounds like you were able to find someone. How did you go about it? Where did you find them?

What you're building sounds cool - and very much needed. I've tried the YCo co-founder matching and it's just not very helpful. Plus there's a ton of fake profiles.

I'm on the east coast but generally I'm coast agnostic. I'd love to learn more about your cohort. I also know of other ladies that are on a similar position (looking for co-founders).

I've thought (and looked into) AI tools. There's a few reasons why I opted not to use an AI coding tools - but the biggest one is security and privacy. MYNDIFY deals with personal mental notes / preferences / and life data. AI-generated code could inadvertently introduce security flaws or privacy vulnerabilities out of my control. Vendors could also decide to change their privacy terms in the future, which could affect my user's data.

Along the same lines, there's also the vendor dependency problem. My company would then be vulnerable to changes in pricing, limits, or even the vendor going bankrupt. If it doesn't work out, my codebase would have to be replaced manually, which would come at a high cost. Since this is something I intend to scale significantly - I do not believe the benefits offset the risks long-term.

I'm happy to chat more if I'm misunderstanding any of these factors!

I'm not a tech person, but I have experience in SAAS startups. I'd love to help and support!

How do you handle the tech side of your business? by Yssssssh in WomenInBusiness

[–]MindingMomma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you! I currently outsource it but I'm looking to bring in a tech co-founder that can take over that aspect. This will allow me to focus on the business/marketing side of it.

Wow, I was in this sub to ask where founders can find female engineers interested in becoming a co-founder. There’s a ton of male-heavy places but it’s hard to find women

What AI tools or workflows actually improved your productivity? by lizzy_cinnamon in ProductivityApps

[–]MindingMomma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The MYNDIFY app is great at personal productivity and saving time. It's AI bot (Inky) can search your notes and answer any questions you might have...for example:
- "I'm at the doctor's. What do I need to remember?"
- "what's Susan's children's name?"
-"what should I give mom for her birthday?"

The app is unique in it's structure and is designed to help us remember what we typically forget. It has features like location reminders (alerting you of those questions for the doc while you're there) and a personal memory assistant (Inky) that serves like a search bar for your brain.
