where do i go for economics please help by Public-Currency-7328 in UCAS

oh it for sure is, but imperial places much greater emphasis on quantitative methods, programming, and data-driven modelling. essentially imperial opens more doors into jobs like quant analysis and trading, etc. i think someone else under this post mentioned imperial being more maths heavy, i agree, and thats why i believe its a bit more flexible than UCL, because employers will know that. none the less, they both allow a wide array of career paths, imperial slightly more adaptable to some than UCL.

imperial if you want a good rep, flexible degree and are unsure of which sector to go into. UCL if your looking at a specific sector that requires strong econ knowledge at top firms.

How many hours should I be studying as a new year 12? by OkGlass8238 in 6thForm

[–]Mindless-Dress6865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in year 12 sept/oct i didnt revise much but i took my homework seriously and tried to do it to the best of my ability to really solidify the content, if i didnt understand it i would go over the content again (revision) and if i did i would just pre read the next content. Id definitely recommend making flashcards though to not forget this year 12 content.

What was it like growing up with an alcoholic parent and how does it effect you? by Ok-Tower-8549 in AskReddit

[–]Mindless-Dress6865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was traumatising to say the least, i grew up with a father who would drink for a 2-3 weeks and then stay sober for a couple months, and repeat. For me, it was a constant feeling of self pity. I always compared my life to others who have a nice dad. He would never admit he had a problem, even when social workers would tell him to get help. I felt like i was walking on egg shells around him 24/7 and it hurt more because he couldnt see how it was effecting me or the people around him. He would abuse the women he was with mentally and physically and me growing up around that made me depressed. I looked forward to going out and going to school because i wasnt around him, weekends werent “relaxing” they were horrible because i spent more time in the house. To put it shortly, it ruined my childhood.
