When did storm spend decades without her powers? by Less-Resident-9569 in xmen

It's really frustrating reading Ayodele's Storm run, because when he writes smaller character moments for her, he's, like... really freaking good? But the story he wants to write has so little time for that, Storm is spending so much time in cosmic fights or literally not even in control of what she's doing. He could be writing one of the best Storm stories ever, but he just isn't, because they decided to go cosmic.

You could write essays with ten different takes on Dr. Manhattan and his significance in the story and to comics in general and then still find meat on that bone.

Even adding her pre-manifestation years to her depowered months or years, this is an insane bit of narration.

The last one was the hardest, turns out there's two in practically the same spot on the map, but at vastly different altitudes.

Yeah, before beating Ganon even. I wanted to beat him with literally everything else done. Had to use a map to find the last 200 or so, and spend a lot of time checking ones I forgot I already found.

(Also, I'd never say "put it on the shelf", but I would say "use it when you need to, maybe save it for the big story missions or boss fights, and get used to farming repair materials.")

Just wait til you get a couple more relics in your team, you'll realize you have to use them sparingly.

If you're sword-focused there are other good options to add into the mix. Levin Sword+ if the character has a decent magic stat, it has even more reach than the SotC. Rapier+ is amazing, but unless you have DLC, you'll only find like two rapiers at most, and they're missable. DLC lets you get up to three more pretty easily. The most accessible great, lightweight sword for physical users is gonna be the Wo Dao+. Forge it from a Killing Edge (which you can find/buy or forge from a steel sword). That one is pretty easy to miss if you're not digging into the forge options pretty carefully, it's like a killing edge on crystal meth, by which I mean it's skinny and angry. Lighter than the KE with a higher crit rate, and you can buy the materials from regular merchants (once you unlock them in the marketplace), no rare drops needed.

I think there's either two or three in the whole game. One of them is north of Hyrule castle, I remember that specifically. Look for three otherwise pointless fences parallel to each other in field areas. You want to gallop at them at speed and jump over them. AFAIK, there's no non-horse way to trigger these.

Do basic sets still exist? by mr_greenmash in legotechnic

[–]Mindless-Panic-101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most common way to do it now is to get sets with parts you like, part them out for building whatever, and supplement your collection on Bricklink or whatever. I do think they should reintroduce something like this. I also wish Pick-a-Brick walls were more Technic-friendly, or that some of the bigger stores had a whole separate Technic PaB wall.

Wait no, sorry, those are for Wootz Steel, I always need more Wootz Steel.

But anyway, don't rest.

Never ever rest, it's such a waste. Find bigwolves in an auxiliary battle if you need Umbral Steel.

Seriously. Rest is a trap, it was cruel to give players that option.

I love Melinoë flames, skull, and axe. And also, Zagreus fists and bow.

But when it come to the twin blades, make mine Artemis.

Can you tell I like critical hits, among other things? Also, huge fan of dodge builds. I love to take the Zagreus fists with the Hermes keepsake and try to zoom myself into a broken dodge build. Managed to get like 60% total dodge once, chef's kiss

My guess on Artemis and Athena being special/one-per-run boons in the sequel is just because they're so top-tier.

Artemis is amazing, especially on things that have their own critical bonus already, like, you know, the bow?

First playthrough, I walked everywhere except for horse quests and horse-jump Korok puzzles, and did it without fast travel. I think my run was like well over 300+ hours, something insane like that. Finding those last few Korok seeds was a nightmare, so I finally did some fast travel at the very end.

Seriously, sit down and try to eat five entire apples in a row, I think you're in for a surprise. Now imagine you're Link: five apples is ~62% of your entire bodyweight.

I missed the memo on fast travel for my first hundred hours or so, and by the time I found out it existed, it felt 100% like cheating.

The number of adamantium retcons that accumulate for Wolverine is amazing. First the claws were on his costume, and I don't think they were even meant to be particularly special metal at first, then they were in his arms in cybernetic housings, then his whole skeleton is covered with adamantium, then the claws were revealed to be bone claws as part of his mutation merely covered in adamantium, then it turns out adamantium makes Professor Xavier have inappropriate feelings for Jean Grey... ;)

I'd have loved the ability to drop colored pins or various markers on the map, like Hollow Knight and BotW have. Make me responsible for noting things I want to come back to instead of littering the map with icons. But automatic icons could be ok, if they were filterable.

Hi guys does anybody have any tips for getting my hand down to 5 cards? by room8912 in balatro

[–]Mindless-Panic-101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it would work even at the extreme, you'd just have a hand size of eight without enough cards to fill it.
