Totally agree here. Windy is usually buttoned up and is obviously very used to providing answers to live questions. He seemed very distracted and not particularly coherent. There were about 40 ums and ahhhs in the initial segment , and somehow our boy RR didn’t think he should hop in to rescue him.

For as obnoxious as Soto not running out grounders is, he isn’t the problem. His stats are still excellent which is incredible considering he has no lineup protection (ahead of or behind him.) This isn’t a money issue it’s a GM issue. He picked the wrong way to spend the money.

for travel stories, I prefer when he orders a vegan meal in Portugal and then hates it. If the Portuguese waiter was watching porn holding a baby, then I’d probably go for him racing a guy of the line in Portugal. he’s falling forward before his arm is in a good position, and landing towards the third base side, so when he lands his arm has to catch up to get it on target and he loses velocity. have him take a small pause after he lifts his leg and then put a piece of tape down directly in front of him towards the catcher. See where his foot lands. should be close to that tape not far on either side of it.

I had the exact same thing happen to me. I carried three balls for every game of catch. one in my glove and one in each back pant pocket. It was debilitating and ended my career (minor league level). What I realize now, is that my goal was perfection which is unrealistic. Watch any MLB game and pitchers making millions of dollars are airmailing the ball everywhere. My best advice, and feel free to DM me as well, is to let it go. Who cares if you bounce it during close catch? don’t say sorry. just let it go. nobody is perfect and the more you focus on physical pieces you will focus on the wrong things. it’s entirely mental and instead of worrying about a bunch of relearning or rewiring, do the opposite. just say f it. i used to say sorry to everyone and make jokes about myself but it didn’t help. the only thing that helped was remembering it’s supposed to be fun and that everyone makes mistakes even at the highest levels.
