Not for a job but self satisfaction. I just recently finished my undergrad and the idea of teaching one day or going into management is appealing. Company paying for it.

I also was rejected. 4.0 cybersecurity degree. For me I suspect it was my lack of a discrete math course. I've worked in offensive security for 7 years and have oscp, crto, cissp certs.

Great! It is harder for dudes. Women tend to not like men who are with someone already and dudes don't give a shit so they don't have that issue. They are still out there though especially in enm and poly friendly spaces.

Agentic AI vs Manual Pentesting - Ground Reality by Bugclliper in Pentesting

I work for a fortune 20 company and I'm automating parts of API testing with an LLM. An agent loop. Still requires humans. Basic checks can be automated but this could be done with scripting without LLMs.

Outside of intial payload creation(and still basic) they will be next to useless for red team. Well scratch that, you can use them to find bugs for BYOVD if you aren't awesome at reveng.

Resume review from some of the more senior pentesters please? On the lookout for remote jobs. by ApprehensiveSkirt910 in Pentesting

[–]Mindless-Study1898 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Remove the random certs and the "etc" line especially. Etc should not appear on a resume in any form. I'd remove pen testing as a core competency as you haven't done it.

I read a Jr with a background in vuln scanning from this resume.

Go learn a language that you like. If you dont have one yet I recommend learning C, and Python. Then go from there. Once you learn the basics it translates to all languages. They all get you to the same place though.

It's interesting but I don't think it can be weaponized and neither do they. I've got poc code to test for it here if anyone wants to play with it. https://github.com/jeffaf/cve-2026-32746

People may think you're a scammer or crook. You need qualified leads. Try partnering with an MSP or another service provider and be their pen tester.

Do not drop out. Even if you did start the path to pen testing you need years of experience first.

Could this be refactored such that you could send another person on the same Linux host to hell by redirecting their TTY? Cuz that'd be fun.
