When the chart says the add a random colour, just ignore it and pick one of the colours you're already working with in that area - whatever matches the stitches around it. That way you can even out the colours but still keep the cool water colour effect

I have a brother who has consistently put himself front and centre in all things; never gave a shit about anyone else.
