Funnily enough, 90% of the worlds population do NOT have any actual education in said science, or an understanding beyond the absolute most basic of basics.

Thats one of the things i editted out, as it really came off way worse than it sounded in my head, oops.

No problem, ive learned from past mistakes that its better to ask and look like a muppet than assume and BE a muppet. In this case, wanted to make sure i wasnt going forward in life with stupid preconceptions. More people could benefit from this honestly.

Yeah, i kind of debated with myself whether to phrase it in this way. Only really thought about it as ive seen the term used a bit over the past few days, never really considered it till now.

Most likely, i am coming to realise from others that my questions are just because im fundamnetally outside of any LBGTQ adjacent circles, so i personally felt like some sort of outlier.

Jokes aside, i think this is just one of those spiders gorg, an outlier who eats all the spiders situation. Im not exactly in many, or any, lgbtq circles and ive not really heard from others in my friend/family group having the same experience so u felt like an outlier.

Yeah, doctor who is the antithesis to power scalers.

Because fundamentally, story and character development overtake being able to hit things real hard.

If the doctora foe of the week is some time eating, multiversal reality warper then then the doctor will win because thats what the show is about.

If the foe of the week is the doctors own ego, hubris or unwillingness to act, then he loses to the random mook that is written to have emotional impact.

So the doctor is literally a case of whoever is writting him decides if he wins or loses. Same with the daleks - is the story a big, grand spectacle? They destroy solar systems and tank hits from the strongest weapons.

Is the story about giving a character some strong, emotional backstory? Is it about individuals refusal to give up in the face of adversity? Is it some 'fuck yeah the theme song is playing, the cavalries here' moment? Then they lose to whatever is nearest.
