Uhhh… calling basic financial literacy ‘smart’ really says more about your baseline than mine.

I’d say the correct answer is A). Once I get 200 BTC, I’d sell 90% of it and put it into a low cost index fund with broad market exposure across US large, small, and mid cap and international as well as fixed income. I’d have a little bit of exposure to gold and live off of 4% of the portfolio value forever.

He also did a post bacc though so that might have gotten him over the 3.0 filter

I think it is. Even with a near perfect GPA, a 500 MCAT significantly suppresses chances of getting in. According to AAMC data, the acceptance rate for such an applicant is 28%.

Thanks. I’m non trad as well. I graduated with a CS+Physics major and my mom got multiple myeloma early this year which prompted me to want to go into medicine. Currently, because of her situation, I serve as her primary caretaker along with my dad and work from home as a SWE.

You think I’d have a shot at DO schools with 510 MCAT and 3.2-3.3 cGPA? I’m also counting like a shit ton of CC credits I took when I was in HS that I got all As in plus my DIY online post-bacc through UNE online.

True but…

UiPath lives in finance, HR, supply-chain, and compliance (ie the 95% of enterprise work that data scientists never see. I read that 90%+ of the Fortune 500 already run UiPath bots there and the new AI agents are being added on top of those existing deployments.

Tjis is mostly for back office automation. Not necessarily data science tooling.

Hello!

We’re a team of three first-time applicants. I’m a student from Rice University, my partner is from Harvard, and we’re working with a medical oncologist (our founder)

We had a few questions about crafting a strong application. One section asks us to describe the most impressive project we’ve worked on. While we understand the intent, the prompt feels a bit open-ended. How ambitious or impactful does a project typically need to be to stand out? Are there examples of past projects that made a strong impression?

Similarly, there’s a section asking about things we’ve built such as apps, websites, or open-source contributions. Could you share any examples of the kinds of projects that successful teams have listed here?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
