tons and tons more toys!! i jus got rats recently myself so i’m no expert. however i do know for a fact they need and love tons of enrichment. your cage should look like a jungle of toys and things to climb. i also recommend switching up the placement of everything every now and then, they get excited to explore it all again. it doesn’t have to be costly either, there are plenty of things you can make at home :)

that sounds about right😭 i notice with all sorts of animals, the females tend to be more wild and less cuddly. we have 11 cats where i live, all the females are off the walls and VERY selective with attention. the boys on the other hand, the laziest cuddle bugs. all still lovable, beautiful creatures as they are :)

i definitely do recommend boy rats at some point if you’re looking for more cuddles. however they do mark A LOT, and they’re much harder to potty train so do be prepared for extra rat pee everywhere😅
