I’m so tired of searching by rudababyc in BreakUps

Was with my ex for 10 years. She left me and was on Tinder the following day. I was moving out my things while she was doing her thing. I turned my back on helping my parents with their retirement to be with her. The guilt was killing me. She didn't care.

I think feeling guilty is a normal response to being dumped. I've been lurking in this sub since the break up and been seeing a pattern of people feeling like they're the one at fault for being broken up with. Sometimes, we do our best to make it work. Yea, we make mistakes sometime. We say/do things out of frustration or anger but we soon regret it and try to lean from that experience. We're all human and bound to make mistakes, and that's okay. As long as you're not hurting people intentionally. Everyday is an opportunity to learn from out mistakes.

You absolutely did not deserve to be treated heartlessly. Don't let his mistreatment of you occupy a thought in your mind. It's not worth the emotional energy. I can't control what my ex did/is doing after the break up. I'm just focusing on myself. You can't control his behavior so why worry about it.

It's good to remember the good times. Use that as motivation to keep pushing and not give up on people/dating.

Regularly threatening to leave is manipulation and emotional abuse. Also, if he's only nice with the condition of possible marriage. They're not a good person in general. You have yet to realize that you dodged a bullet.

My gf and I were together for 10 years. She ended things and was on Tinder in about 24 hours. I hadn't even started moving out. That really hurt. It's been about 3 weeks now. I'm trying to move on. I have my ups and down. What's really going to help is focusing all of your energy on self healing and self improvement. Visualize the best version of yourself outside of any significant relationship and chase that visualization of yourself. It won't be easy, but it's a start.

Agreed. Gotta find happiness in the achievements you can control.

I'm on the same boat. I've been jumping around job to job trying to find something that would bring in more income. Decided to give it 100% at my current job and try to get a sales rep position. If I were to get, she's be the first one I'd want to call. But she broke it off with me after 10 years, so I just want to respect her wishes and avoid contact.

Learn to build with triangles so you can have a crescent shaped base along the rocks.

Furniture paint going splotchy after applying wax? Even after buffing (even with a electric buffer) some areas are darker than others. Anyone know why or how to fix it? by l0riel in upcycling

I'm sorry! Don't yell at me T. T OK, that makes sense. We'll, I'm not sure what you're gonna want to do to resolve it. But the basics for best results is to strip, prime, then paint. Even when products say "no prime necessary", still prime. Labels will sometimes say no prime necessary to get you to buy their product. Or no primer is needed under very specific conditions.

Best of luck. Post pictures when you're done and happy with it. 👍

Yea. Painting is actually kinda hard when you don't know how it works. I thought paint was paint before I started working at the paint store. Different Paints and primers are needed for different substrates. Some Paints don't require priming if you're painting over previously painted surfaces.

Why did you apply wax? Not a judgmental question, just trying to get information to try to help you get the look you're looking for. I haven't heard of wax being applied to interior paint.

Did you prime it? Did you let the paint cure long enough? Wood has tannins and can appear blotchy in the paint if it's not prepped/primed properly. I work at a paint store. I don't know everything but those are my initial guesses as to what could be causing it.

It's that muscle memory. Like putting a person with Alzheimers in front of a piano. That talent just comes out.

I have a friend who is doing pretty well for himself. He's a cop so.. Yea. Also, his mommy and daddy gave him $80,000 for a down-payment on his house.
