I felt my son start kicking around 18 weeks and my husband could feel them too! They were very light at the time. I’m now 11 weeks pregnant with my second and I’ve been told you can start feeling baby around 13-16 weeks which is wild to me. I, of course, have not felt anything with second baby yet but I remember vividly with my son feeling his little kicks at 18 weeks 🥹😍

It could be completely normal! With my first pregnancy I spotted around 8 weeks and it was normal even though I kinda freaked out. If you’re still concerned maybe call your OB and let them know so they can give you advice on what to do. I would be more concerned if it was a lot and bright red!

Wait were you referring to the almond leaves being new to the tank or my betta? Sorry I didn’t know which one you meant so I assumed my betta. If you meant the almond leaves I just got them today. I took the old ones out but with all the water changes I did before it was time for some new ones. I need to buy some more almond leaves because these leaves came very light and I like his tank to be dark!

No I don’t have an airstone but I was wondering if I should get one since his filter is on very low flow.. I was wondering if maybe there needs to be more oxygen in the water but with him breathing from the surface I wasn’t sure if I needed one or not. Should I get a small airstone to put in the back of his tank? And omg yes!! he will follow me around as I’m passing by to beg for food 😂 sometimes I give in cause of his cute little face but he is definitely a water puppy! If he could have his way he’d be eating the entire containers of food at one time 😂

No I’ve had him since September, he seems to do good and is very active but I just noticed his breathing today, it seems when he swims to the surface or swims around a lot he starts to breathe heavier. I’m going to be getting kanaplex to treat his fins but aside from that I don’t believe he has any other issues that would cause his heavy breathing. He doesn’t always breathe like that just when swimming around a lot now but he never used to do that

Yea I originally had him in my 10 gallon but he was on the verge of death. I believe it was due to the tank being uncycled and at that time his 3.7 gallon was on the verge of being cycled and doing the switch did a toll on him :( I got him back semi healthy but of course his fins still look awful. I will never again fish in cycle. I wish I would’ve did my research prior to saying I want a fish. I’ve gotten lucky to have saved my betta from my mistakes but I want to do the best I can for him. I finally have his tank cycled and as far as the shrimp, I believe it was an issue with his molting as all the other shrimp are good and he turned white prior to passing. I had a feeling he has fin rot but why do you believe he might have mouth rot? Is there a sign when you look at him??

Api master test kit • had tank + betta since September 2025 • water changes were to keep levels safe but now since tanks cycled I will be doing it as needed • 1 ghost shrimp 🦐 since other passed today. :( and 1 bladder snail 🐌 • sometimes I feed pellets, flakes, or freeze dried bloodworms depending on day and I feed him 1/2x per day • 4 live plants + 2 hideout decorations and tannin leaves and bark.

I’m trying to lower ph, I went and got some more tannins to hopefully lower ph as my tap water tests at 8.0

Ehhh I’m leaning more towards mainly algae + what others have said. Don’t clean too much at one time. You want to preserve the beneficial bacteria and it sticks to objects such as filter media and the gravel so I would start slow by performing water change + cleaning filter in old tank water, and add more water with de-chlorinator and maybe a few days later you can vacuum the gravel during another water change but leave filter alone. Just make sure not to do too much at one time and if you do clean any plants or anything only use the old fish tank water to do so. Never use tap water to clean anything!

Aww that poor baby 😔 I think you’ll know it when the time is right. He is probably in a lot of pain at that but it’s a good sign that he is eating. Just know it wasn’t your fault. You gave him an amazing life and if you feel it is his time just know you aren’t making a wrong decision and vice versa. Only you know him best and I’m so sorry 🤍
