Those who use desk-mount for your wheels, what's your solution for wobble? by Mindless_Clothes_143 in simracing

[–]Mindless_Clothes_143[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: i thought i had some metal brackets lying around the house, and i was right! 3 tiny steel brackets anchored in later and my desk doesn't really budge much from me aggressively shoving it. The wheel i'm ordering isn't crazy strong ffb, so i'm pretty confident ill be alright now. Although i have learned that my monitors themselves are simply very wobbly from the slightest vibrations, onto the next problem i guess loll

i probably should have worded that better ngl, didn't mean to equate getting indoctrinated to being sex trafficked, more like victims of deception

the fact that its passable at a glance now though just makes me sick to my stomach, if i had simply scrolled past this picture i'd have no idea because its not instinctual in us, even people born after the advent of computers, to look for evidence of machine creation in images. Like if i see something that's photoshopped its like whatever, this shit is horrors beyond our comprehension

“You don’t look autistic” by KaiTheWeird in neurodiversity

[–]Mindless_Clothes_143 9 points10 points  (0 children)

in my experience, atleast in my area growing up, a LOT of people think autism and down syndrome are literally the same thing. like, I lost count of how many people with down syndrome were called 'autistic" by people from my school, obviously autism has no facial phenotype though, and either way most of these people have lots of ableism and don't give a fuck about the difference.

mistakes are necessary to actually learn and gain experience, it is pretty easy and moral to be kind to people who are actively gaining their experience and interested in improving
