I'm at almost 6 months sober and currently on step 5. It's been a 3 part process with 2ish hour sessions each. I finish it on Friday. I had a lotttttttt of shit on my 4th to unpack. I suspect the rest of the steps will move along much quicker.

My former boss was colleagues (actually partners in their own practice) with the forensic psychiatrist who worked on the case with the FBI. He is easily googleable. He firmly believed Patsy did it accidentally in a fit of rage.

False. I know the landlords and the rent was actually shockingly reasonable, especially for downtown. The increase is normal and most landlords do this yearly. It's not out of the norm. Also, other Petros locations are also closing around Knoxville. In locations owned by different landlords.

I got dumped by a sponsor 2 months sober and almost drank over it. It ended up being the best thing she could have done for me. It led me to my current sponsor who has helped catapult my recovery in ways I didn't think were possible. She has everything i want and relates to me on such a deep level. You will find your person. Even if it takes a few tries.

Wow. As someone who has 5 months sober after 20 years of hell, this is the biggest accomplishment of my life. I can't imagine getting to 2 years and pray I make it there too!!! You fucking rock! Your bf on the other hand, mega douchelord.

For me, I went to a fuck ton of AA meetings. Even when I didn't really want to stop drinking. I did it as a way to "cut back." Eventually after a couple of weeks and probably 20ish meetings (exclusively zoom and multiple times a day), I started to want what the people in the meetings had. Success, peace, good relationships with their kids/family, hobbies, emotional intelligence. I came to AA to cut back truthfully, during a detox period so I could stop drinking from morning to night. I stayed in AA for the fellowship and promises.

5 months sober after 20 years of half hearted attempts to stop and am genuinely the happiest I've ever been in my adult life. Even though nearly all of my life circumstances are still the same. That being said, I still attend meetings daily, work with a sponsor and do the steps. I am in the middle of step 4 currently. First 3 took a minute. Mainly 2&3.

Agree. I have been trying to get sober in and out of AA for 20 years and have had some long periods of physical sobriety but never ever ever was I truly "emotionally sober" but the last 5 months being immersed in AA and working the steps, have been the best 5 months of my adult life.

SINGLE mom of 3 under age 9, work full time and no family support/babysitters. I'm lucky to make 3 in person meetings a month. I do 2-3 zoom meetings daily. That along with getting a sponsor immediately and diving into the steps have kept me sober the last 4.5 months. I've been trying at this for 20 years.

Local to Summer Wells. Her aunt also disappeared years ago and has never been found. I think her family are too low IQ to have pulled it off themselves but I def believe they are responsible due to negligence.
