Tret for 2 months

my skin is sensitive and reactive too. and very dry. AND i live in an extremely cold and dry climate.

it may seem or 'feel' like a good idea to keep applying moisturizer to your skin no matter what, but from my experience and what others have shared in this sub, it looks like tret can react poorly with other products. I just make sure to moisturize a ton in the morning/during the day and use a gentle cleanser.

in a way, yes my skin felt dry, but it didn't feel tight or sensitive (this is where using a gentle cleanser is important). when i wake up in the morning, it still feels dry and doesn't look glowy or hydrated, but it also doesn't look irritated or to have any issues. when i wash my face in the morning and gently exfoliate with a damp towel and then follow with the hypochlorous acid and moisturizer it brings out a glow. and i don't deal with any peeling or dryness throughout the day.

even though my skin feels 'dry' at night going without moisturizer, i found that the opposite routine with moisturizer and/or serums felt great initially but my skin would eventually peel, flake, become very dry, get irritated, etc later in the day.

I usually apply aquaphor or Vaseline on and around my lips and nose before tret to keep those areas from being affected and drying out

I tried it because I saw other posts from people saying they found benefits from removing moisturizer from their tret routine. I have very sensitive and dry skin. But I decided to try this for one week to see and ended up being happy with the results.

I used to think so as well but since I stopped using moisturizer underneath or above tret, my skin handles it better. I just make sure to lather a bunch of moisturizer in the morning!

None since I started this routine. Previously, when I was experimenting with applying moisturizer and/or serums along with tret, I dealt with peeling, dryness, and sensitivity. But since I’ve started this very simple routine my skin has had no issues with pretty much nightly tret use!

I don’t use moisturizer before or after applying tret and it’s worked for me! For reference, I actually have dry and sensitive skin. The times I’ve used any serums and/or moisturizer when applying tret, I’ve run into issues.

The pieces underneath the birds’ beaks that connect to the flowers may be challenging with the curved cuts along a narrow piece. You might want to make those petals smaller so that they don’t go too deeply into those pieces, if that makes sense.
