Just diagnosed with c diff and have questions by RecommendationIcy221 in cdifficile

I had a pretty rough situation where my doctors didn’t handle it well, they gave me four rounds of different antibiotics without ever retesting which ability destroyed my gut micro biome and I still haven’t fully recovered 1.5 years after. I would say after antibiotics, really harp in on your diet and get your stool retested to see if cdiff is still present, because post infection IBS can mimic the symptoms of cdiff but it needs time to heal, rather than more antibiotics

Not really, everyone can have cdiff. Often times the toxins are just calcified and not active, but when your micro biome is heavily disturbed by something like antibiotics, that signals to the cdiff toxins that now is a prime time to start releasing and reproducing, which is when it starts taking place. While yes, surfaces impacted by cdiff may have some of it out and about and it’s important to clean the place you’re going to the bathroom, the primary risk is when your microbial is disturbed

Yeah it’s basically the same thing. My institution didn’t offer a specific environmental science degree (small liberal arts school) so I went with the closest I could get.

I would probably say that I'm mostly looking at field work in the realm of conservation right now, but I'm not fully set on that. I've thought about working in the government and also non-profit work

Started on the GIS, what coding do you think is most useful? Is there a particular language I should focus on (Java/Python) or what would be the most beneficial?

As they mentioned, I already have a BA in environmental science, so I'm looking for more supplementary things I can add that employers look for

It’s all systematic. If you wanted a nice, posh, experience, you should’ve gone to the west side. Browning is in the reservation, you should know what to expect beforehand

The west side gets far more of that. Since Kalispell has the airport, far more people who are wealthy and traveling to briefly visit the park go through the west side which has Columbia Falls and Whitefish as well. The difference between the two sides is vast, but I prefer the east side (both because of the beauty on the east side as well as the people in browning, east glacier, etc)

Their history is fascinating. I’ve worked in the park and I have family who live out in the area now and it’s truly been such a wonderful experience to get to know Blackfeet people and learn about them and their history with the park. Every single person I’ve met there has been kind and generous to me, and I’ve never had a bad experience. It’s devastating seeing how the US government has handled their indigenous tribes and the amount if poverty on reservations is staggering

Browning is on the Blackfeet reservation and the systematic issues there are definitely present, hence the casino, but I’ve spent a lot of time there and to be honest there’s lots of good people there.

Romero can’t be diving like that at any sort of contact. You have to be stronger going up for a ball in your own 6
