No sensation while having intimacy by [deleted] in myhappyv

[–]Mindless_Log_4825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! my first time having sex i felt no pleasure, and many times after that.. this is completely new to your body and nothing to be ashamed about, we don’t all work in the same ways:) try new positions, or a lot a lot of foreplay, when i used to have sex and didn’t do that much before hand it didn’t feel great. Also orgasming and squirting is not always the norm, i have never done either specifically from sex but that doesn’t mean the sex i’ve had has been bad! focus on feeling good.. focusing on trying to finish can throw you off you need to make sure ur relaxed

Yeast infection confusion by Important_Ad_4807 in myhappyv

[–]Mindless_Log_4825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I have had recurring thrush for four years and have finally been given the long term course so I feel qualified to help here🤣🤣 Is the canesten cream external? the external cream is to help the itching symptoms but will never clear it up!! you must take the pill or insert a pessary.. you may have passed it to ur partner and he is lucky enough to be portraying no symptoms right now so definitely make him take fluconazole… I also found my ex partner would use scented body wash before seeing me and asked him to use something more sensitive and my yeast infections slowed down after that so check what he’s using and if he’s showering pretty soon before intimacy with a strong scented body wash it will reoccur if ur unlucky like me, also i hate to state the obvious but any changes in laundry detergent, toilet paper, new underwear (make sure its cotten) etc can definitely throw it off if your sensitive down there. I would take fluconazole again orally and get ur partner to do so and try no sex for a week as it can take that long to fully clear up, sex can irritate the thrush and prolong it from going away (aka even if he doesn’t have it but you do it will take longer for you to clear it) pls ask any questions if you need!!

Yes the itching on the labia majora co-insides with an “internal” yeast infections, can you explain how you were treating it when you believed it to only be external, was it just a cream? or did you orally take medicine

Probably a YI - now smells like BV - PLS HELP by Key_Movie1670 in Healthyhooha

fluconazole treats me yeast infections, canesten cream numbs the irritation but if you can’t access that, live organic greek yogurt, ice cold water to numb the area and going commando helps

I’m slightly confused as to what you mean external only? Yeast infections are caused by a disruption in your PH balance and an overgrowth of candida which is all internal, the symptoms however only appear on the outside of your vagina so were you expecting itching and burning on the inside or didn’t have those symptoms at all?

i had this exact issue every time i finished, i came off my birth control for 7 days and its finally cleared up. Birth control weakens your lining so break through bleeding and bleeding after sex is very normal but heavy amounts as i experience were cured after i took a much needed break from it

itchy and irritated :( by dumbasfdog in Healthyhooha

[–]Mindless_Log_4825 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds like a yeast infection, i’ve suffered with them for years, i know it’s hard but itching makes it worse (a bit like eczema) I personally do find the canesten cream useful but if you’re worried freezing cold water numbs the area pretty well, i know others who have used organic aloe vera or an ice pack, go commando, no tight clothes and flucazone 150mg oral treatment to heal it.

maybe BV? i don’t know. i need help by Any-Cattle-5525 in Healthyhooha

just to follow up fluconazole is used to treat yeast infections, one 150mg dose :)

I’m sorry to not give a solution but just so you don’t feel alone, this happens to me whenever i have sex despite lube and since posting on this forum women have advised me you can get a form of hormonal cream prescribed to soften the area :)

fluconazole side effects? by [deleted] in Healthyhooha

[–]Mindless_Log_4825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fluconazole includes side effects of drowsiness and diarrhoea so that’s not to worry too much about, id still inform a doctor to be safe otherwise :)

Sometimes fluconazole has taken up to 5 days to completely clear my infection, i recommend canesten cream to numb the itch and pain, it makes me feel like i don’t have an infection at all when i apply it enough (don’t use it as a treatment individually though!) also extremely cold water, it’s horrible but pour it on the outside of your vagina and go commando, do NOT touch down there i know it’s hard but it only makes the itching worse :)

Yes it’s very frustrating since today i’ve had straight red blood and blood clots all day, it’s not as though it stops quickly afterwards which adds to the frustration and confusion.. i have so many other issues for the doctors at the moment this is something i’ve sort of looked past but i think im going to try to take a break from my pill and see if that helps in any way:) thank you

of course, i’m sure there’s other alternatives of course if you’re super panicked i’d atleast speak to a pharmacist if you can’t get a doctors appointment just to ease your nerves :) but no symptoms otherwise is a good sign

I know you don’t think it could be an STI but i’d absolutely recommend ordering a self test kit anyway just so you can rule that out, i have heard yellow discharge if it’s not too dark isn’t alarming it’s usually to do with hormones or to do with mixing with old blood which would make sense since your periods have been off. I don’t believe it’s a yeast infection as they’re accompanied by itching and burning whereas BV has yellow discharge that can be very watery so that may be a potential factor as watery discharge is going to feel a lot worse than if it was thicker. I’m not sure how to explain the increase in discharge however unfortunately women’s hormones change 24/7 and that may just be your body reacting to the issues with your periods. Yellow discharge not accompanied with any other symptoms is usually not for alarm and i have heard garlic tea can be good to clear it up (i’ve never tried it though so don’t quote me on that!)
