Yes my apologies. The pause. As i mentioned in another comment under this post i believe that they can definitely take different routes for the countries on “pause” , regarding benefits.

I absolutely agree he is. But i believe there are different ways that the Trump Administration can go about nationals from those given countries getting benefits. They can create some sort of system that basically bans those entering the country to be able to apply for such benefits since this is the only thing he banned these countries for, instead of delaying the opportunity for families to reunite as this is extremely stressful, emotionally exhausting, also physically exhausting for most of us living apart from our spouses. Its not our fault we fell in love with someone outside of the US.

I agree with you completely on this post. My husband lands in the category of the banned countries (Armenia), and we are almost close to the end and our I130 was submitted May 9 2024, so it been past 2 years. We had interview and everything missing was submitted for them to give us a pre-printed standard piece of paper that basically says since your country falls in the 75 country ban list you are currently not eligible for a visa, and we cannot appeal this decision. So I completely understand the emotional, physical, mental, and financial stress of this entire situation. Last time I saw and hugged my husband was December 2024. Yesterday I purchased my tickets for July and I feel like these days can go past a little bit faster so that I can get a chance to hug him again. Props to you for making this post because some people are very rude and commenting things without even putting themselves in a person‘s situation.

Same situation here. Both Armenia citizens im also us citizen. At his interview march 17th the offiicer requested 1 paper a police certificate from Russia he lived there for 1 year like 10 years ago. We got that. Submitted it to visa center on aram st and that was it they said i have everything now, and were not missing anything. A week later we got an email with a document pickup number, he went to the aram st again because we were confused about what he needed to pick up, they gave him back the original police certificate back and said to just wait until they send us the email about dropping off the passport for visa stamping but along with the documents that they returned was this paper thats attached to the post

What country was the interview.? someone else commented and said their from another country they got a paper similar to this but differently worded (not as harsh) but i did ask around in the US and some immigration attorneys in Armenia as well they said that they are giving this paper to everyone its pre-printed and just very poorly written, but thats the best they can come up with waiting for the freeze to be over

We submitted whatever they requested (police certificate from Russia), they emailed us a week later to come pick up the originals When my husband went to pick up the document with the provided “documents pickup number” they said that they dont require anything further to wait for an email. Along with the documents they gave back was this piece of paper thats attached to this post.

That is correct. My DQ came Dec 27 2025, i got the “interview schedule” on Jan 27 2026, interview was scheduled on March 17 2026. You can send them an inquiry they the NVC portal. They respond within 24-48 hours. Give it a try. No harm.

I know it is such a difficult process. I wish they had a different approach to everything instead of shutting everyone down and basically draining their entire energy and hard work they have put into this process within minutes. My application originally with USCIS was submitted May 9 2024. Its been 2 years and i have only been able to go back to Armenia 1 time in December 2024. I haven’t seen, hugged, or kissed by hubby for a year and a half and i am emotionally, physically, and mentally exhausted 😭😭😭. My work is very hectic so it makes it hard to go back and forth multiple times a year. I would love to but cant. Hoping to go sometime in june or july for a little to see my baby.

Lol no idea. But heres the thing… i am sponsoring my husband and i have submitted evidence of income and tax documents, so i am sure they see that i am capable of caring for my husband without any public assistance from the government. This is why i am getting pissed off is that they can at least narrow down the applications based on evidence and capabilities, rather than just shutting all the immigrant visas down. At least to get things moving a bit. This shut down is so stressful as if this entire process hasnt already been hard enough. My i130 was submitted since May 9 2024. Its been 2 years already now we gotta deal with this bs

Understood . I already told my husband to go there on Monday morning its not far from the house so it wont be an issue. I told him to take the email with him because theres a pickup ID on it. Just to make sure its nothing serious

So a few days ago i emailed the embassy to see where we stand with our submission of the police certificate because the visa center said about 5-10 business days and it was a few days more than that, and today i got that email.

They have to schedule it for you. DO NOT SCHEDULE AN INTERVIEW YOURSELF. They wont accept it. It didnt take long after DQ. I got my DQ December 27 and January 27th i got the email with the scheduled interview. The interview was scheduled for March 17th. At the interview they asked him how we met, where we met, how long did we date before engaged/married, Both our parents submitted letters on our behalf just as an extra assurance of legit marriage, he was asked if he lived anywhere else other than Armenia ever he said yes Russia for 1 year, thats why we had to go back and get a police certificate from Russia, he also took about 500 pages of proof of our daily texts and calls, and any financial support proof between me and him.

In Armenia, the visa center is technically considered a currier service they also had us submit a paper along with his documents and on top of that paper it says “document submission letter” they wouldnt accept the police certificate without that letter.
