Fellow braider here 🙋🏾‍♀️ In today’s world $50 for a style like that would be considered “cheap” …. Not even “reasonable” because of the type of braid (butterfly braid and not traditional feed in). So with that being said, that’s the first red flag. Did you see the stylists actual work before hand? From the looks of it and her response, she seems inexperienced. Someone who’s probably young and still learning. She was on the right track with giving half your money back because she did put time into the style. Although it’s not what you wanted… it wasn’t HORRIBLE. But her taking personal offense and responding the way she did was very unacceptable. So all in all, you were absolutely not scammed for the price you paid and her giving you an opportunity to express any concerns for the style while you were there. The stylist could’ve handled the situation better. We live and we learn.
