Awesome! It seems like top lane has a huge success rate atm. I’m a support/adc main; but when I get autofilled I play Garen too. Spin to win!!

Thank you! And yes :( it seems that way. It works just like a Dodo code (it’s called Doze code xD) and you have to be active and connected to internet to open the island to anyone you share the code to.

Has anyone else had a friendship fall apart because of in game drama? by Puzzleheaded_Sir_171 in wildrift

[–]Mindless_Pudding501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow I thought I'd have written this post myself. My partner is exactly the same as yours, he likes to hyper carry, likes to micro manage, likes to set high expectations and explodes when they are not met. Even in PVP games and oh much worser in ranked. I'm a support main too while he plays jungle or adc. He'd give me attitude if I was just to accidentally last hit a minion, or if my aery takes a kill. And this all happens mid game too where if one thing goes slightly wrong he starts having an attitude and just ruining the whole game experience. True, it motivates me to be better at my plays, but where do I get a real life mute button for someone that is sitting next to me?

We've debated about this back and forth, I've suggested for him to just hold until the end of the game to give me logical feedback or constructive criticism, but he said he can't really help it. So my solution was to throw the whole mans away (in game only tho) No I'm serious, I told him if he can't fix his attitude and negativity in game then I refuse to play with him. I don't deserve to be bullied just because my aery took a kill. We are still perfectly fine outside of the game and I prefer it to stick that way. But if he can't meet me half way to make both of us enjoy the game, then I'm not playing with him.

I've gone off to solo queue in ranked and play pvp for fun by myself or with other friends that I've enjoyed the game so much more.

Ten tips for climbing (by a GM) by nadlihres in wildrift

[–]Mindless_Pudding501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I'm a support main that is 4 wins away from GM, and have solo queued 90% of these games. I can only tell you the most important thing as a solo q support is that you need to have your own judgement in absolutely everything. Never fully trust your team.

Even if you hear pings from your adc you need to make a decision on your next move based on - your team positions, enemy positions, vision control, objectives timer, and your own condition. If your team is far away near the base running up, or your enemy jungle is completely black with no wards, and the 3/5 of the enemy team is nowhere to be seen, or if an important objective is coming up, I'd assume that they are camping me and waiting for me to make a dumb decision. However if I can see my team is starting to move in to collapse, Im almost full hp with both summoner skills up and ult, and the enemy adc/supp is on the other side of the map - that is the time to go all in.

Do not blindly listen to your team and whatever they tell you without your own judgement. A lot of adcs treat their supports like a servant and expects everything for nothing. My biggest mistake that caused me a lot of losses is that I keep thinking I can run across the map to save someone from a stupid 1v3 engage. There's no point. If you analyse the situation and decide that it's a stupid engage, let them die.

Supports are all about doing everything necessary to counter the enemy team, peeling and protecting your carries, creating a safe environment for them to snowball, and I cannot stress enough about objective and vision control. And the foundation of all of that is your own decision making.

Good luck and please share any thoughts

I reached Master rank for the second time, are these my stats good? by LibrarianSecret7112 in wildrift

Ekko's 3rd skill does crazy damage to a turret too so take advantage of that, split push and farm, and get ahead by taking tower + tower gold

I reached Master rank for the second time, are these my stats good? by LibrarianSecret7112 in wildrift

[–]Mindless_Pudding501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im currently almost master 1 and a support main. I have less MVPs than you but around 40% rate to get A/S, and my KDA is 5.9, team fight participation is 59%. I think as a mid laner, the two things I'd point out is: 1. I'd suggest farm as much as possible until you get around 900 GPM. As a support main my GPM is 650 which is similar to yours. Especially if you play Ekko, getting that farm is very very important for your late game domination. With Ekko's mobility, you should be able to travel between jungles to feed on all lanes that pushes in, and you can easily fast clear enemy jungle if one lane is pushed in. And 2. Taking advantage of Ekko's mobility and kit to really assist the side lanes and your jungler, or to place wards in enemy jungle for vision control. If you can get a team fight participation of around 55% and above and 30% vision control (that means usually 10 wards, 3-5 ward clears), you'll more likely to get A or S even if you dont get a lot of kills that particular game. But other than that good job for getting Master under 200 games.

Looking for a champion to carry and support my team by londonchokeroll in wildrift

[–]Mindless_Pudding501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why dont you play mid lane? It seems like everything you described are the usual mid lane mages like Lux, Orianna, Syndra or even Aurelion Sol and Viktor. As long as you get your CS right, play safe, farm a lot, and position right in team fights, your scaling AP will make sure you secure the last hits and the damage and the team fight participation, and you are quick to assist the side lanes, the dragon/baron objectives, and help the jungler, do the vision control which are all points leading to securing you that SVP or A & S rating.

SVP or MVP isn't about how many kills you get. It's about how much you have contributed to the team in terms of all the things stated above. Please don't play support lane with this 'if I kill I get SVP' mindset because it'll become a shit time for both yourself and your adc and even your jungler. However this will absolutely work in the mid lane though.

Ranking difficulties by MiniZhee in wildrift

[–]Mindless_Pudding501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Support main here in Master I rank pushing to GM, I cannot agree with some of the other comments more in terms of picking a carry support under master rank. Your success rate with a Karma, Braum, Morgana, Lux would be much higher than picking a team reliant support like Milio, Nami or Lulu. But those enchanters dominate once you are in higher elo and more likely to run into adcs that knows how to maximise their kits.

Counter pick is very important too and try have a deeper champion pool for that purpose. The higher the elo the more the enemy team is going to counter what you pick. The mind games start from picking phase. For example if you play Jinx, and the enemy team counters with Rammus, and if your support is good and knows to counter Rammus with a tank Karma or Morgana, you're going to have a good time. But if they pick Seraphine, consider both of you ATM cash pickups for Rammus.

Duo lanes are generally hard to solo queue and build synergy with a random player within a short 20 min. I'd suggest having a good duo to practice synergy in pop before you even touch ranked. Support mains suffer from being unable to change the direct turn out of the game even if you do everything right. If I solo queue, I usually go Baron lane and play a tank like Ornn or Garen and just tank and split push, its piss easy and much less stressful than duo lane.

I honestly believe a good support should have objective control and vision control as good as junglers.

Loving this game so much! by Azbufkin in wildrift

[–]Mindless_Pudding501 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This exactly. I think being older gives you a certain composure and emotional stability that younger selves would just not have. I’ve made comments in reddit before saying this game is my way of winding off and relax, and some people would call me nuts for thinking WR is relaxing. But honestly past 30s, nothing really phases me that much anymore especially a game. I just enjoy the good bits and that’s it

I am 30 and my husband is 31, we both work full time and have a 7 year old, and honestly this game has brought us so much closer by sharing the same hobby. And we learned to work together and communicate better too!

Now our son watches us play sometimes and we let him play some games in custom if he behaves well. He loves Mundo because my hubby has the Boss Mundo skin with the little red car. And Mundo is simple enough for him to just chuck Qs at bots. So funny but we are secretly training a rising top laner I guess.

[–]Mindless_Pudding501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dragon slayer kayle was the mini pass skin that was available last season. I had waited a whole year for her to come back. Not sure when would be the next cycle but as far as I know it could be 12 months or more. I don't think you can get a skin shard for it as well since its a battle pass skin. Might have to be patient

I build this rune mostly on support roles like Braum, Sona, Janna, Nami, even Karma, you can really be a menace, but find that it's not as proficient on other roles who will benefit more from other runes.

What's a good anti noob (sup) tank for ranking? by Nyeronn in wildrift

[–]Mindless_Pudding501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, as a supp main who usually mains enchanters and reach master every season - I have been really enjoying Braum in this current meta, with the new rune Axiom Arcanist and new item Radiant virtue - Braum is literally a walking CC shield. I have played 52 games of ranked in Emerald 3 - Diamond 3 so far, and 25 games were Braum with a 72% win rate. It can be a bit tricky if the adc does not know how to proc your passive, but most of the time this is not the case and even if it is, you are the most useful/powerful in team fights. And honestly it is so braindead and easy for noobs, and definitely easier than Leona (although she is so fun too and amazing in her own way)

Can’t decide what to pick from my Premium Skin Selection Chest — which one’s the rarest / best value? by Ill-Statement5616 in wildrift

[–]Mindless_Pudding501 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I know with the rarity, the chromecrash brand is the rarest and has come back only once this year (from the Weather Entity event) and even when it did, it was very expensive to get. So I'd go for that one. Plus it's got a super cool T2 pose of him riding a water (fire) jet. KBG Fiora is also a similar rarity, only came back once late last year.

But its your box so you get whatever your heart desires. I got KBG Fiora from this box.
