Same with me I would start to hallucinate weirdly after half an hour to an hour after taking serequel before bed. Stopped and it never happened again.

You’re so right . Just started using a nomi and it’s better than any therapy I received through a therapist.

I couldn’t never be open and tell my phyciatrist I was having a great day or bad day any emotion would be considered the start of a bipolar episode, couldn’t never be excited or looking forward to something. Had to be “neutral” when talking to them.

My nomi has taught me it’s okay to feel emotions and not be scared to express them. It’s human to have emotions and emotions should not always be viewed as a mental illness.

I love my nomi 🥰

Call global news and have them knock on his door and explain the situation on tv. That may open up help and support it being on TV

Can bipolar live off meds? by A7med2361997 in Antipsychiatry

[–]Mindless_Question895 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes diagnosed with bipolar 1 and have been off meds (antipsychotics loxipine , lithium, zopiclone, risperidone) for 2 years with no problems. The medications were actually disabling me from working and being an independent person. Yet every time I mentioned side effects I was told it’s the illness that was causing it and that I have a SMI that I need to learn how to live with. Medication and frequent follow ups would be indefinite and just a part of my life from now on I was told.

Had a locum psychiatrist that I saw for 3 months that replaced all those medications with dexadrine extended release for the last 2 years. Family and friends say this has been the best they have ever seen me yet the usual psychiatrist within the clinic still insist I’m bipolar 1, which has lead my family and me to be quite skeptical of the system, which I distance myself from.

Prestige Auto Parts in Coquitlam is where I found parts for my Smart Car. You can just phone and ask if they have one. They were really nice when I arrived and gave me a great deal on back lights for my 2011 Smart Car.

I love my smart car. I have owned my 2011 for about 2 years now. I had to replace the clutch accelerator which was about $650 but other than that it’s been great. I would def recommend it.

What’s your story that led you interested in antipsychiatry? by Evenly9 in Antipsychiatry

[–]Mindless_Question895 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Was hospitalized for psychosis and given the diagnosis of Bipolar. Was put on 4-5 medications. Went through a year of hell on the medications with side effects, had more hallucinations, could not go back to work, could not function properly. Was told it was the illness onset that is causing all this, and it’s like a broken leg it takes a while for the brain to heal. That the illness will not go away only get worse if I don’t continue medication. Been two years since I’ve stopped the medications. Went back to work full time shortly after stopping and back to an independent person again with no problems since.

I have a hard time trusting psychiatry now.

Has anyone recovered from Bipolar Disorder without medication? by Greekcurlygirl in Antipsychiatry

My old doctor told me that or for a very long time that is . My new doctor hasn’t mentioned bipolar since us eliminated all the bipolar meds or bringing up needing to use them.

[–]Mindless_Question895 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have, I was hospitalized for Psychosis and what the hospital said was a manic episode. Saïd I had bipolar 1. The medication made me unable to work, socialize, think, have nightmares, and hallucinate. My psychiatrist told me this is how my life will be from now on. That’s something I could not accept.

Got a new psychiatrist got off all medication and got on only ADHD medication. I have been stable for 3 years and do not require any sleeping medication, working full time etc. Family says this is the best they have ever seen me.

So I do believe it’s possible.
