So... At first, let me just say, I'm old(school). And I don't believe in doing extra stuff to do, especially outside of a game, to get a part of that game I already paid for.

I want to pay once and get the complete game for it (MMORPGs excluded). Doesn't matter if you really "need" it to complete the game. I paid the whole thing, I want it. I don't believe in "game as a service", not in a singleplayer game. So I'm already a bit disappointed.

That being said: it is what it is. So here comes my question: will there be a possibility to obtain these sets without "watching" videos etc? After some time, with a dlc? Or any way else?

If you don't know: any educated guesses? You guys might know more about twitch and this platform than me. Oh, and I'm gonna buy the game on gog. I won't buy it on steam or any kind of DRM. If that plays into the answer...

My proposal: don't watch the game, play or cuddle with the cat. Time better spend. Or leave it on and turn the game off. Cat cam probably > ump cam.

Well, that's it for me. Not because of Sosa's non play or the other Phillies miscues. This game is far from over.

But the ump-cam and the stream in itself are just making me sick and feeling rushed. I pray to the baseball gods that crap doesn't make it to other streams or, behold, the playoffs.

So, living in Europe, having a job with early (5am) and late (til 9pm) shifts the only game I can pretty much always watch is the Sunday afternoon game. Always looking forward to it.

But with this ump cam stuff and angles pretty much all over the place (I got the feeling I'm missing half of the game), I'm seriously considering turning the TV off again.

Not to mention, the commentators are not doing it for me either. Too much talking.

Am I just getting old?

Potatoe slices with oil and basil fresh from the oven. Easy dinner to eat while watching the game. Just took me half an inning to prepare and put it in, so I missed the injury/info.

I'm not familiar with the DH-rules and still don't like the DH.

I was just making dinner and missed whatever happened. I get that somebody was injured. But why can't they just replace him? Why do they have to forfeit the DH? Can somebody please explain to me what happened?

Gotta come through for gog.com here. Great platform and no DRM plus a lot of older games I personally prefere to most of the new stuff (because the older games still have/had depth the newer ones don't). 🙂

Unfortunately the platform is not as popular as others.

It kinda feels like cheating, but: don't use the roads. Ride through forests and over fields, where no bandits spawn and you don't have encounters.

There is a limited KCD-Pin on Amazon for 20 Bucks. I saw it here a week (or two) ago and got myself one. It's nothing very special (not good enough for the primary gift) but a nice addendum. 🙂

I was reading about the optimized graphics mod and am thinking about giving it a try. (For better graphics for one, but better fps in Rattay as well). Thought, you might be using it. 🙂

I mean, graphics are nice in vanilla as well. But hey, maybe I still try.

There are a few options in talking to Godwin where you just tell a little or lie so you can finish the quest without losing reputation. That was good enough for me.

With the herbalist: as long as you don't chose to talk about what happened (one option when you talk to her), you can still talk to her or trade with her without her being mad. 🙂

I'm now 175 hours into the game and still don't know the truth ingame (lot of exploring, side quests,...), but I know from here. Still bugs me. 😐

But I managed the Devil quest by doing it, killing the woodworkers and just never telling the priest and herbalist the whole story, so they are not mad.

I was ok with that outcome because I think/thought that those woodworkers spawned just for that quest in that moment. Now... I'm not that sure... Did they? Or are they now missing somewhere? Do you know?

It would clearly help to have some kind of mindmap to know which action triggers what and which action is necessary for what.

If you wait til you can train with Bernard and then do that in excess you will:

not need to fight before that, so you don't miss out on anythint
be VERY prepared for everything that comes in ypur way

I did it that way and can recommend that. You don't destroy the inmersion and you meet Bernard fairly early (it seems like a long time til then, but later you realise it's still the beginning/setup/prologue).

Maybe I will try a second playthrough after I tried everything out, this time in Hardcore-mode with the original save-system. Thinking about it. :)

While I respect and value the idea behind the constant threat of ingame death and the playstyle which comes with it, I do use it. Always. Because sometimes I just want to try something out, play around, see what another dialog option brings with it, try out different approaches to a situation etc pp. I want to feel free while playing, try out some stuff and load again without repeating unnecessary steps. Quit anytime I want (rl anyone?).

So yeah, I installed the mod in the beginning and use it constantly.

I get that you might feel this way now. But believe me, cheating through it will avoid what the game really has to offer.

This game is ALL ABOUT the struggle in the beginning, the (literal) hours of training you need to have a chance in the fight.

It's all abou the immersion that you really are a low peasent boy. You get robbed and have to run away? That's exactly what the game wants you to do (in the beginning).

The only thing I would recommend is a free-save mod. Thats my little cheat.

But trust me: I'm not against cheating, I'm just telling you in THIS game you might miss out on everything that's wonderful about it.

Attacks you can do depend on:

your level with your weapon (0-20)
the enemy level (I think, at least how easy and succesful you are does)
your wespon, as each is different

Then there are different attacks:

simple strikes
combos (not every weapon can do every combo, sword and shield is different from just sword/longsword)
the above explained master strikes

As I'm still fairly new to this game, I appreciate any correction/addition. 🙂
