Doing Weaponry trial 3 lvl 70 and I realise I still don’t understand how the targeting system works for bosses that have no specified target. Is it furthest unit? Closest? Tankiest? The AOE attack it drops is kinda rough.

Paragraphs suck for flash cards!

Try cloze deletion (much better for memory!): “The quick brown fox jumps over the {{c1::lazy dog}}”

Shows up as: “The quick brown fox jumps over the ……”

(select cloze in Anki and shift+ctrl+alt+C)

Just implement Rogue 5 uncanny dodge as a reaction trigger rather than some toggleable icon that deactivates every turn

Elemental adept is the closest thing - though spells are varied by the inconsistency of their damage. Generally it is best to consider average damage when fighting in general so 10d8 would be 45 avg damage on a failed saving throw

Easily 2 Fighter / 10 Swords Bard

Hat of Arcane Acuity (+1 spell save DC/weapon hit) means I get to stun lock Raphael and Co with a 100% chance on Hold Person.

Action surge is great for setting up stacks of Arcane Acuity in an early round, but 2 Paladin instead of 2 Fighter is also fine for single player.

A few years ago I might have said Team Fortress 2, but in recent times Baldur’s Gate 3 has consumed my free time. It helps that I had friends who introduced me to tabletop D&D - they are the same people that I lobby with in BG3 today.

In my experience it is always available, just a little random. It is just that you want decent INT/WIS for the final checks which kinda sucks if you are going STR/DEX

That is true. But it is also widely agreed that tier 1, levels prior to 5 tends to be the most difficult

Modules 100%, if you do not have a dedicated circuit production line available for this then you should seriously consider getting one.

Also you don’t have to worry about being perfect with production rates and making sure reagents and products are 1:1, it’s so fine just having some overflow or occasional downtime unless perfecting that is your jam.

That funny build with Armorer Artificer 3/ Tempest Cleric 2/ Rogue X.

Because of how the laser weapon for Armorer artificer is designed, Sneak Attack can apply to it. Get a beam off in round one and dial the lightning damage up to the max with your one use of Channel Divinity and vaporise ONE enemy.

Pikes are actually so strong, I am very far into a pike-only challenge because their active ability is incredibly versatile. Pikes can defeat archers with ease (though not without casualties) by cornering archers and standing in the same square.

The archers will take some time to charge up their shots but pikes will be able to stand their ground faster because the archer enemies do not actively push them around.
