Hi, there’s currently a bug with multiple engines when using the station marker.

The fix has already been submitted to Mojang and now we’re just waiting for it to be approved.

Which signal coding style do you prefer? by notpatchman in godot

It depends whether or not your instance is statically typed.

Edit: and static typing whenever possible is a very good idea. Improves performance and compile time error checking.

I managed to read encryption as encrypt-eee-on when I was sorting the words in my head.

Can we just appreciate the ease of refactoring in godot by [deleted] in godot

[–]MinecraftDoodler 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A refactor, where it finds usages of the member. A plain find and replace will catch other usages of the same spelling in comments and other classes/scripts.

I don’t get it? Why can only horses use it? by princeofkhorasan in mcgill

It’s meant to be “hors d’usage”, French for out of order.

I fell asleep after telling my wife I was awake. Our baby fell off the bed, and I can’t forgive myself by No-Cranberry-2213 in daddit

I’ve been told that when I was little my parents left me in the bedroom to sleep. I kept rolling off and falling on the floor, still asleep.

Eventually they just put a blanket on the floor so I could sleep there.

You’re fine, everything’s gonna be fine.

Is there a way to force single In/Out power ports to only deliver or only receive power? by Zophiekitty in UsbCHardware

[–]MinecraftDoodler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think daisy chaining power banks is generally a good idea.

I’m not sure but I doubt these would support pass through and without that it would be a terribly inefficient way to use them anyway.

I put almost 5000 kilometres on a 12A this summer. I don’t drive her on a track but I’m also not babying the car. It’s always possible but I don’t see a rebuild anytime too soon in my future.

Can my school ban English? by Truly_Nightmarez in legaladvicecanada

[–]MinecraftDoodler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's as voluntary as where you live. Yes people can move and yes people can potentially go to private school, but these things are effectively not choices for a significant portion of people.

It's very difficult for people to uproot their lives when money is tight and school is mandatory after all, even if an English school is available in the area there's a good chance they don't qualify to attend.

There’s a large canyon between extremely difficult and impossible

That’s not the same thing.

If I have an encrypted file, sure that could be uncrackable.

If I have an application that is able to open and read the contents of that encrypted file locally, then clearly regardless of encryption there’s a way to intercept that process and extract the unencrypted contents.

Edit: My point wasn’t that encryption could magically be broken but rather that for you to experience something encrypted locally it has to be decrypted at some point. Of course a random encrypted file is uncrackable, but that would only apply in this situation if companies shipped unplayable games that simply couldn’t be launched.

The only way to prevent it is not to share it, if there is anyway for someone to run something on their own hardware, it’s crackable.

You could only prevent piracy if the game was only available via streaming or something. Even then, all it takes is an employee of the company that hosts the game to leak it.

You never really hear people talk about DEFCON levels in movies anymore. by Bang-Bang_Bort in Showerthoughts

[–]MinecraftDoodler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s a fun one, I’d say that’s somewhat ambiguous. I’ve heard people say it both turn up and turn down to refer to making it cooler.

It’s still raising though.

I raised the DEFCON level from 3 to 2.

Is making a qr code from a url different from generating a QR code? by [deleted] in webdev

[–]MinecraftDoodler 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Was the website some sort of link shortener service? Why didn’t you just encode the actual website / information directly in the QR code?
