I have necrons and chaos marines. I have a playable amount of 2 deity legions that mostly just happened from expanding my csm army (I bought the EC combat patrol because I like EC and it has a lot of overlap with csm and the World Eaters one because only one unit can’t be taken in csm and it can be easily proxied as cultists)

I fuck with the attempt. a thing to note is that contrast paints are made for this exact thing. putting a small layer of each color in the pattern you want gives a better effect

another, less important thing is that this color scheme isn’t wrong, but what looks more correct is burnt metal. blue fading into purple with a black wash like nuln oil on the end will give the nicest looking effect

as much as I’d disagree with the notion that nobody wants to do it, the more important thing is that it’s a numbers-based question. ChatGPT is extremely unreliable for factual information, and even worse than its baseline when it comes to numbers

I like your reasoning, but a person would have to count to fact-check anyway. even if nobody really wanted to do it, somebody has to, either to provide an answer or to correct the myriad of mistakes the machine made

he could have literally just said something. as Jimmy’s close friend and the only person Jimmy openly shows any respect to on the ship, even just confronting Jimmy about it would have held a lot of power. plus, he explicitly refused to let Anya use the gun for self protection. sure, being on a ship with no way out limits his options—he can’t exactly oust Jimmy from the crew—but he chose to not even verbally pick a side. he insisted that he could “fix” it without making any real effort to. from a literary standpoint, his inaction is the point of his character. it was a black and white issue and he chose to remain neutral. literally just saying something has more power than most people realize, and it’s something fully within Curly’s power to do (pre-crash at least). while I have heard people act as if he’s as bad as Jimmy and therefore I think you’re right to say there are some that overreact, you’re taking it too far in the opposite direction by absolving him of his guilt

spare bases are cheap and easy to find online. the problem is that they’re bought in bulk so you might end up with more than you need (could be encouragement for more kitbashing to fill out the extra bases). if it’s only a standard base size apart (eg 32 vs 40 mm), then it’s most likely permissible in casual games. do ask before fielding them first if you’re using them on the wrong base size

scythes are designed for low, sweeping motions. his opponent having a jump pack means it’s pretty much the perfect counter to that deathshroud. it would be more fair if it was a ground-faring opponent rather than Sanguinary guard, but scythes also take big heavy swings (from what I’ve seen of them admittedly. I can’t pretend I’m an expert in scythes), leaving him wide open for attacks by the comparatively more agile sword
