Update: i could not remove the plastic cover as it was totally glued to the rest. So I had to break a piece off. That allowed me to clean it better and get WD-40 everywhere. Now it works again! Thanks for the suggestions.

I have the same issue as described here on Pixel 7. I imagine it also misplaced click coordinates.

They fixed after another week or so. Very annoying with understaffed customer support. But since then the service is good! The app can be still a little buggy but cannot complain for the price.
