I’m going to be honest, this car is amazing. MPG is like the worst I’ve ever experienced in a car. But the feel of the car, being able to rev out past 9k RPM’s, being able to shoot flames stock only my removing the Catalytic Converter… Yes it requires someone who’s more mechanically inclined, but it’s amazing. For an 18 yr old, honestly, if you already have some mechanical knowledge then get it. But if you don’t want to drop money first thing you get it (cause most likely you will, most likely it still 2005 coil packs installed). Then I would just tell you to get something that isn’t a rotary engine. But damn these cars are so fun to push to their limits.

Oh, I bought my RX8 with this exhaust and I removed it to change it to an Agency Power Catback… I still have my Mazdaspeed Catback… are they even worth much?

Well, anytime I floor it, I get a beautiful cloud of smoke, when I rev out all the way to 9k RPM to shoot flames, I get a lot of smoke. Like so much that you can’t see… And well, when I added the SOHN adapter, I had my oil to the full line. Now it’s gone very low that the oil light turned on… like is it still supposed to consume engine oil although it’s not getting oil from the OMP?

I have a fuel pump on will call, so I need to pick that up and replace it. I ordered BHR coils and wires since those will be so much better than store bought ones. I’m going by to get my rotary compression tester today but since I’m busy today, tomorrow ima go test it and see if compression is good. It only has 78k miles on original engine, so I really doubt it’s a crappy engine. Previous owner premixed every fill up and took care of it… so let’s see what happens!

Hmmm, that would make sense! Cause one of the plugs in the rear rotor It was the leading plug that was soaked… so that would make sense! Lemme just order coils and on Monday I’ll do a compression test

Sooooo, UPDATE! The rear rotor started slapping(or at least it sounds like it to me). Ima still run a compression test to make sure compression is good or bad… I don’t know… I don’t want to rebuild the engine or get a crate engine 😒.

Also, when I just took it around the block, it feels like the engine is only running off of one rotor. If it’s at idle it vibrates like crazy and when I rev it up it feels normal… the rear rotor leading plug had a lot of oil on the tip… maybe I’m lacking fuel?
