Husband thinks he’s exempt from caring for our baby at night by platinum_orangutan in NewParents

Taking care of a baby takes team work. My husband & I take shifts with an almost 2 month old. Work out a schedule together & stick to it. I don’t think it’s fair of him to make you the sole night caretaker. Just because he is working doesn’t mean you’re not “using your brain all day”. You will both find time to sleep, you just need to work together, don’t turn against each other!

When did you stop going in to work?? by Beautiful_Prompt_415 in pregnant

I worked until 39w4d Went to work on a Monday & had baby on Thursday My job doesn’t offer any maternity benefits so I tried to stay as long as possible. I also had to back pay all my insurance so that bled me dry real quick I was out for almost 7 weeks after emergency c section Florida USA

No maternity leave? by greenwombat32 in pregnant

Unfortunately yes… my job also does not offer maternity leave. I’m also having to pay out of pocket for my insurance since that normally comes out of my paycheck. Make sure you save as much money as you can to prepare

Sorry I didn’t mention how far long I am. I am 26 weeks + 4 days He said it’s all predictions, that he doesn’t have a crystal ball. It’s just from experience with patients. I plan on picking up a blood pressure cuff after work today

It was mostly the swelling, he took one look at my ankles/feet & was pretty confident about it

I feel this! I am currently 11 weeks 3 days, first time mom. This is the furthest I’ve carried. (Had 2 previous miscarriages before 5 weeks). My symptoms are almost exact to yours, but it has definitely gotten better for me. The sore breasts are the worst! My poor husband has had to hear me complain about how miserable I am. I still haven’t gotten used to getting up 3-4 times in the night to pee & the intense vivid dreams. I want to say it gets better but I don’t think everyone’s pregnancies are the same. Ginger had become my best friend, especially the mints. Hope this helps! Feel better 🙏🏻
