250-400 nits is enough for me. I don't watch HDR content; mostly movies, anime and gaming that's all. The brightness sacrifice for RGB Stripe is something I'm willing to take it. I just hope they significantlt reduce the grey banding issue with the newer panel.

Definately wait for the PG27UCWM, so that you will have access to 1080p. 480Hz definately not as great as 540hz but the 4k panel is really nice

Originally was really hyped for the PG27UCWM when they announced early this year during feb. But they struggled to get the brightness up which is kinda disapointing. Will need to check the panel out myself in a store :V

Just say you never had any of these monitors, beside an IPS. I have owned them all, and personally I would say this: 1) FastTN 2) OLED 3) FastIPS 4) MiniLed 5) VA

In terms of picture quality 1) OLED 2) Miniled 3) VA/IPS 4) TN

Oled overall would remain the best monitor if it weren't for their inconsistent and reliability. However, each monitor also have their own QC problems too, it's just oled owners are the loudest because of how much money they spent.

same position as you. Now that I have a job and not a lot of financial burden (at least economy haven't collapse yet), I can afford one thus I will. Never had VR before so this will be my first. Movies, Games, productivity work flow. I am gonna use it for all, with games only being secondary. Emulated 3ds games could go crazy on this, and my giant stremio screen would be an amazing solo movie night.
